Twenty-year-old YouTuber Brooke Houts, who is from LA, accidentally uploaded a video of herself abusing her dog. The original title of the video was “plastic wrap prank on my Doberman.”
Houts is known to include her Doberman named Sphynx in her videos to garner more views.
In the video, Houts is seen screaming and hitting her dog’s face. She also grabbed Sphynx by the fur and forced him down to the floor, then proceeded to spit on him.
Knowing that she made a mistake, she immediately deleted the video and put up a new one that was carefully edited.
The original video has been downvoted nearly 30,000 times and people have not forgotten about it.
Her subscribers went from 340,000 to 330,000.
Houts then released a statement on Twitter and apologized, but denied ever spitting on her dog.

I’m sure we’ve all seen the horrible video accidentally uploaded by @brookehouts to her YouTube. She is exactly the type of owner no dobie should have. She’s abusive & mean to an animal that wasn’t doing anything even remotely aggressive. . . #brookehouts #doberman #dobermansofig #dobermanpinscher #dobiesrule #largebreeddogs #animalabuse
She said that the way she treats her dog in her previous videos is really the way she is.
“The bubbly, happy-go-lucky Brooke that you often see in my videos is typically an accurate representation of me, but it’s obvious that I’m playing up my mood in this video when I’m clearly actually frustrated.”
She admitted that she didn’t have to hurt her dog like that, but as an owner, she had to discipline him.
“When my 75 lb. Doberman is jumping up in my face with his mouth open, I do, as a dog parent, have to show him that this behavior is unacceptable. But I want to make it known, REGARDLESS of what my dog does, I should not have acted that way towards him.”
Houts also said that her dog did not feel any pain during the process, because if he did, then he would have acted different. Moreover, she mentions that they are about to get a dog trainer, and said that anyone who knows her knows that she has “immense love for animals.”

[SUITE EN STORY] #brookehouts #tea #spillthetea #french

#brookehouts is a monster. Someone needs to rescue that poor dog.

What you did is not training or an attempt at training. It is abuse. No trainer would have told you to do anything you did. All you can do to redeem yourself and fix this is get the dog a humane home and get yourself into therapy. I offer to take the dog. @yashar

Dogs prove once again why they are man’s best friend.
One dog is dead while another was left blind in Kidapawan City after fending off a deadly snake.
Jaime Bugtay Selim paid tribute to his loyal Dachshund Miley on Facebook who prevented a cobra from entering their home and possibly harming his one-year-old daughter.
“Miley, thank you sa pagprotect kay Skye..”
The CCTV footage shows a snake entering their house. Their two dogs immediately went on the attack and bit at the snake constantly. The black dog, Miley, was mostly the one doing the work.
The dogs were relentless but so was the snake, who also defended itself well. Miley got bit and died a few minutes later, but so did the snake. The other dog was left blind when the venom went into its eyes. It is currently getting treatment.
Selim was really grateful for his dogs for protecting them.
Ticks can be a really big problem for dogs. They latch on to the dogs to suck up blood, making your pet itch, weak, or sick.
Pet owners can’t help but squish these parasites, but the truth is they really shouldn’t.
LIFE VERSE PH posted a photo on Facebook with the intention to spread awareness about dog ticks.
The photo shows a dog tick in a clear plastic bag that had been squished and already dead for a week. Under the light, you could see numerous eggs surrounding the tick.
The page said that instead of squishing the parasites, one should just drown them in bleach.
“Never talaga tirisin yung kuto ng mga alaga kasi kakalat lang itlog nila. Ibabad nalang sila sa zonrox or gaas.”
CDO Spay and Neuter Campaign, a non-profit organization, also said that these ticks should be drowned in bleach or burned.
MoShield.com stated, “Drop the tick into alcohol to kill it. Flushing down the toilet will not kill ticks; it’s a sewer theme park ride for them. Do not squish the tick to death with your fingers. Contagious tick-borne diseases are transmitted this way. Instead, drop the tick into a container of alcohol.”
Ticks have the ability to transmit Lyme Disease to your pets, and even you.
According to Blue Cross For Pets, if you suspect that your dog has this, then look for signs such as fever, lameness, swollen and painful joints, and swollen lymph nodes.
Removing them properly is very important. Twisting them off your dog is the best removal method.
Make sure not to squeeze a tick’s body because this increases the risk of infection.
Dogs are man’s best friends. Dogs build special relationships with their masters or owners. The pets stress relievers and would can be protectors, too. In exchange for all the good things that dogs provide their masters, the owners feed them, comfortable shelters, and love as well.
For dog owners, their pets are their companions in facing life’s challenges. In order to show gratitude for their pet dogs’ loyalty, some owners give ‘special treats’ like the facebook user Sean Red Fernan from Cebu City.
He prepared a birthday celebration for his dog Padfoot and shared it online.
The three photographs he uploaded described how Fernan is thankful for the four years that Padfoot has given him happiness. To him, Padfoot is the sweetest and clingy dog that he ever has. He mentioned that he loves his dog so much and his pet doesn’t need to be jealous with other dogs in the house.
Though his dog can’t speak but can bark, the photograph tells how important he is and how he is being loved by his master. The highlight of the party was the games that were participated only by dogs. Like other children’s birthday party, a ‘Pabitin’ is played. It is a fun game played during Filipino fiestas and traditional parties. Items are attached to a rack and suspended over a crowd.
Players grab stuff form the wooden rack as it is lowered and raised, vice versa. Usually, the items attached to the rack are toys, foodstuff, and even money bills.
At Padfoot’s birthday party, Sean created his own version ‘Pabitin’ with hanging hotdogs, to which his dogs love. Also in the video that went viral–while the wooden rack was raised and lowered back-and-forth, Sean’s dogs were standing on their hind legs in order to reach for the hotdogs.
The said video already had 32,000 reactions, 16,000 comments, and 1.9 million views.
‘I love Veterinary Medicine’ is a Facebook page dedicated to sharing the kindness of people towards animals. They also display a variety of animal cases which help their followers know what to do in a particular situation involving their pets.
On June 10, they shared a sad story about a mother Rottweiler. This story came from an individual named Susan P. Sealing.
Apparently, the Rottweiler was suffering from Dystocia, which means she had multiple problems giving birth to her litter.
The X-ray showed she had a total of 13 puppies and was given oxytocin throughout the birthing process.
She had already given birth to three puppies a day before. One of the puppies was born with its body suffering from inflammation. Another one of her puppies had deformities and was underdeveloped.
The six that survived were confirmed to have inborn diseases. It was revealed that the mother Rottweiler was bred with one of her sons.
“Poor mom and poor pups. Thanks for saving her life and the 6 living puppies. I would have spayed her ‘accidentally'”
“Poor dogs ☹️ people make me so sad sometimes. That’s why spaying and neutering are so important!!! Even if this was an accidental breeding, if the mom was spayed, it wouldn’t have happened”
“I hope she is spayed and the owner gets some kind of education!”
“Oh i hope she takes this and learns to never breed this female and male again. This is what I’m fighting now with a breeder. I got my pup from a lady and she had a PDA ( just got it fixed 3 days ago) but she is knowingly breeding a female who had it as a puppy as well. So many of her pups have had this issue and with it being an expensive surgery many have not made it.”
A dog will always be man’s best friend, and one story proves that again. This should touch any man’s heart. It’s one of those Hachiko-like stories.
Carmelito Marcelo was a professor at Mabalacat City College. He was really close with one of the dogs in the campus, Buboy.
He would feed Buboy everyday, even when there was no class at school, he would go there just to feed the dog. He was a truly kindhearted individual.
Then one sad day, Carmelito died of natural causes.
One of his students, Kristina Demaflix, posted the story of Carmelito and Buboy, which had netizens crying.
“Everytime I saw you Buboy, naiiyak ako 😥… Mawalan nga ng alagang aso masakit e 😢😢. Mawalan pa kaya ng amo?”
She posted photos of Buboy lying by Carmelito’s coffin. There were photos of Buboy inside the classroom with Carmelito, and Buboy waiting outside the faculty room, etc.
But one photo really broke netizens’ hearts. The photo showed Buboy standing on a chair, leaning over with both his front legs on the coffin. The dog was heartbroken.
Buboy always followed Carmelito everywhere he went. He would greet the professor at the campus gate. He would wait outside the faculty room to get his food. He would even accompany Carmelito to the gate when he goes home.
“Yung everytime na magkaklase sya nakasunod ka saknya, kaht san sya magpunta nkasama ka sknya, pag pasok palang nya sa gate ng school magtatatakbo ka para salubungin sya, yung pag lunch time andun ka sa pinto ng faculty nla ksi hinihintay mo ung pagkain mo.”
There is a new video that surfaced that shows Buboy waiting outside the faculty room and scratching the door, but what he does not know is that Carmelito is not inside, but has already passed away.
During the burial, Buboy did not want to leave Carmelito.
Regarding his life at campus, people are taking care of Buboy and is being fed well.
The post has over 80,000 likes.
Cats and dogs rarely get along with each other. Dogs usually chase cats, but a recent video went viral on Facebook witnessing an unexpected act of compassion toward its fellow animal and it touched the hearts of humans.
A Facebook user Pidong Borromeo shared a heart-warming a video of his adopted dog named Brownie who buried a dead cat. The dog unexpectedly dug up the soil and buried the lifeless cat.
The master was so surprised of what his pet dog has done, a very unusual act and he promised his dog a lot of food to eat as a reward for the compassion it showed and for being a responsible dog.
“Dahil jan marami kang kakainin mamaya,” he captioned.
Who would have thought a dog will have this kind of concerned toward a lifeless cat?
Animals do have feelings like us; sometimes they would feel happy, sad and angry. Through their little actions, humans can learn from these creatures that they are capable to expressing such feelings or emotions. After all, they are mammals, too.
A Facebook user named Nemie Zaballero Carurucan shared her distress upon seeing how her neighbor left a dog under the scorching heat of the sun.
In a video taken by Carurucan, the dog is shown tied up outside the house under the intense heat of the sun. Not only that, the netizen also reports that this is what happens every day.
The dog’s chain is also too short and as a result, the dog had to sit with its head uncomfortably pulled back.
Carurucan tried to remove the chain but it was locked so the only way that they could help the dog was by giving it a stool to be more comfortable but unfortunately, the dog dies at the end.

The Animal Welfare Act of the Philippines states that “It shall be unlawful for any person to torture any animal, to neglect to provide adequate care, sustenance or shelter, or maltreat any animals” and any person that will be found guilty of the violation may be punished by imprisonment, no less than six months.
Isn’t it part of an owner’s instinct to be protective of their pets? Clearly, it is not shown in this post that made the internet on fire.
When a post circulated online about a dog placed in a bus compartment, the internet was filled with outrage again.
Recently shared by Kulitan Sa Planet Opdi Eyps, the photos allegedly came from a “Christian Matro“.
After investigating the incident, the bus (from Saulog Transit Inc.) is said to travel from Olongapo terminal going to Pasay which roughly takes 3-5 hours of travel.
Netizens are #triggered once again after seeing the clueless dog sat innocently in the compartment.
Many asked how can the owner permit the bus administration to do such cruelty. Imagine how the owner can possibly be sitting comfortably inside the air-conditioned bus while his or her pet is looking for him/her.
Witnesses of the incident say that people tried to talk to the owner but he acted like he doesn’t even know his pet exists. People also reached out to the security, but to no avail, the doors started to close and the bus started its departure.
Mixed emotions filled the internet as they show despair, anger, and sadness, mainly for their empathy to the dog, and anger to the owner.
One netizen tweeted, “I hope the poor dog survived.”
We are all hoping that the dog safely survived. This incident is a lesson to everyone, never bring your pets with you if you know that it will not be permitted to stay with you.
The bus company involved in this issue has not yet released a statement.
However, netizens addressed bus companies that they should never allow this kind of cruelty to animals ever again. Moreover, they should not permit animals to be placed inside the compartment, because it’s not safe for them.
May this be a great lesson to both pet and bus company owners.
They might be big (and scary sometimes), but they are still babies! They might look tough, but they are as just precious as your small pets.
Here’s some proof that bigger dogs are better!
And most especially…
Who says big things are not cute?
