The news of their first movie project together set abuzz online and was met with much enthusiasm from fans of both artists. The two will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who is known for romantic comedy movies and melodramatic films.
With that said, here are the other times that talents from GMA Network worked with ABS-CBN film production company, Star Cinema:

Here is a list of celebrities or known personalities with ‘enemies’ who have now kissed and made up:
Keeping it in the family:
1. Gutierrez Brothers
Ruffa Gutierrez has once revealed that her twin brothers, Raymond and Richard, did not talk for over a year when Richard broke off with a girlfriend who was a very good friend of Raymond.
It’s now all in the past as the two has remained inseparable.
2. Aquino Brother and Sister
In her Instagram post, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino revealed that she and her elder brother, former president Noynoy Aquino, had a cold war for three months. It only stopped when she reached out to her brother due to her son’s (Josh Aquino) hospitalization.
Along the post, she expressed her gratitude to her brother who remained a constant male figure in her son’s life and remarked how they are like any other normal family who experiences rift with each other but still come to the other’s rescue if needed.
3. De Rossi Sisters
When Assunta de Rossi married Congressman Jules Ledesma in a civil wedding back in November 2002, no family member of hers attended the ceremony. Admittedly, she and Alessandra de Rossi had fissure in their relationship, giving the other a silent treatment.
However, it all came to pass when Assunta’s family finally attended her wedding with Jules, this time in a church ceremony in March 2004. Alessandra was the maid of honor.
4. Mother and Daughter, Cecilia and Heart
It was well-known how Heart Evangelista’s parents, especially her mother Cecilia Ongpauco, were against her wishes to marry Senator Chiz Escudero. They did not attend her wedding back in February 2015 in Balesin.
Last year proved a blessing to Heart and she was grateful that she and her parents have mended their relationship and even became amiable to her husband.
5. Mother and Sons
Jackie Forster has always been referred to as the estranged mother of teen stars Andre and Kobe Paras. After almost 12 years, Jackie and Kobe met again last January at Los Angeles. She also met with Andre when she visited the Philippines last April.
It turned out that they have been contacting each other through chat and video calls.
6. Gal Pals
Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador have been the best of friends until news came out that Kim’s ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson was in a relationship with Maja.
In an interview back in October 2015, Kim revealed that her friendship with Maja is being mended piece by piece.
7. Three is a Crowd
One of the biggest controversies before was the sudden break-up of sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Karylle, when the former became entangled with his on-screen partner Marian Rivera.
Years later, Marian and Karylle were seen in the same event in which both greeted each other with kisses in the cheek.
Truly, time heals all wounds.
8. Barretto family feud
Sisters Gretchen and Claudine Barretto have been estranged for years due to a bitter family feud. Earlier this month, the two met for dinner, fueling speculation that they have managed to finally patch their relationship up.
On Instagram, Claudine shared that Gretchen had been with her for the past few days as she recovered from her illness.

It seems like almost all of the Kapuso network’s top vocalists have transferred to their competitor’s company.
So the question of “Who will sing the Kapuso Christmas ID?” has been constantly asked by the netizens. And one of the names most frequently mentioned is actress Marian Rivera.
This is a result of the star’s recent viral video of her rendition of Rihanna‘s hit song “Unfaithful”.
During the launch of Kultura x Marian pearl collection, the network’s Primetime Queen said that she’s willing to take on the role.
“Hahaha. Kanta gusto nila? Why not?”
But when asked if she has any idea about the singer of their station ID, she answered that she has no idea.
“Wala akong idea. Basta ako artista lang ako ng GMA at siguro mahirap din maki-involve sa ganyang issues lalo na ‘pag medyo mabigat.”
Marian added that she thinks that there are still a lot of stars left in GMA despite the continuous network transfer of other artists.
“Hindi naman. Marami pa ring star ang GMA.”
Since Halloween is just around the corner, the different costume parties are popping up here and there.
As much as adults are also fond of dressing up and having fun, trick or treating is something that kids are originally a part of. And of course, television personalities didn’t miss the chance to make their children wear something cute, funny, or a bit spooky for this once in a year celebration.
Pele (Jolina Magdangal and Mark Escueta)
Adorable Dracula, anyone? Rock legend Mark Escueta and actress Jolina Madangal’s son, Pele, dressed up as a cute vampire for this year. And of course, his mom did the make-up.
Patrice (Patrick Garcia and Nikka Garcia)
Patrick and Nikka’s daughter dressed up as Frozen’s Ice Queen, Elsa! Now who knew that Elsa can be as cute as this?
Pia (Patrick Garcia and Nikka Garcia)
Patrice’s sister is also a princess this year as she rocks that Princess Jasmine look.

Jeck and Rico’s daughter, Sarene, is adorably waiting for her Frog Prince as she dressed up as Princess Tiana.

Sing your heart out Baby Baste! If you need an idea of what to make your child appear as for this Halloween, why not go as international singers like Ed Sheeran?
Zia (Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes)
Zia’s costume made a buzz, not just because of the cuteness, but because it’s made from recycled materials. Now that’s creativity!
She has also sported the classic Marilyn Monroe look for an event at their school.
Primo (Iya Villania and Drew Arellano)
Angry bird? More like adorable bird! Iya and Drew’s firstborn, Primo, is digging his simple yet undeniably cute costume.
Scarlet Snow (Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho)
Wow that eyebrow lift! Scarlet Snow is owning that Charlie Chaplin outfit.
She did not only have one costume, but TWO! Her other one is a beautiful butterfly.
Nala (Camille Prats)
As her mommy starred in the Philippine adaptation of ‘Princess Sarah.’ Nala channeled her mom, complete with the set design, and of course, potatoes.
She can also be a real princess if she wanted to.
Baby Baltie (Isabelle Daza)
If you’re having a hard time finding the perfect costume for your kid, why not make them look like your own friends? Isabelle turned her son, Baltie, into none other than Erwen Heussaff.

With Regine Velasquez’s recent network transfer, other celebrities’ singing videos have resurfaced.
But it wasn’t because of their amazing vocals but because of their interesting way of pronouncing the lyrics.
One video is Kim Chiu’s rendition of Jesse J’s ‘Flashlight’ from the 2015 movie ‘Pitch Perfect 2.’
Netizens poked fun at the way the actress made a shaking movement with her hand, which she did twice, and her lyric mistakes. It took place during her 10th anniversary concert last April 2016 titled ‘Chinita Princess: The Funtasy Concert’ at the Araneta Coliseum.

She sang with then Kapuso actors Alden Richards, Derrick Monasterio, Jake Vargas, Kristoffer Martin, and Elmo Magalona. Another video of Barbie has spread online. It was when she guested in a Vivo event and sang Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules.’
Barbie, however, was aware of her limited singing skills and just laughed it off during a previous interview. “I love it!” she exclaimed when asked about what she felt when her first video went viral.
The three have become viral memes because of their singing videos and netizens grabbed the chance to joke about it.

There are two big rumors hounding the Kapuso network recently.
One is Regine Velasquez‘s rumored transfer to ABS-CBN, and the other is the speculation that Marian Rivera is pregnant with her and actor Dingdong Dantes‘ second child.
If both rumors are true, it is possible that Marian will go on a hiatus right after Regine’s farewell to GMA 7. Will the network be affected by these developments?
Regine and Marian have starred in a number of hit shows for GMA.
Asia’s Songbird has proven that not only can she sing, but she can also host a lifestyle show.
Aside from her music career, Regine has contributed a lot to the Kapuso network’s long list of top rated shows. She was a part of S.O.P, GMA’s former Sunday noontime show. The singer also hosted a number of singing competitions like Star for a Night, which discovered some of today’s well-known singers such as Sarah Geronimo and Mark Bautista.
Regine has also hosted Pinoy Pop Superstar and the Philippine edition of Celebrity Duets. Aside from hosting, she showcased her acting skills in Ako Si Kim Samsoon, Totoy Bato, Poor Señorita, and Mulawin vs. Ravena.
Her recent projects with the network includes Sarap Diva and The Clash.
On the other hand, Marian Rivera has starred in several popular teleseryes.
The list includes the network’s adaptation of the Mexican show, Marimar, which became the highest-rated primetime drama show on Philippine television.
Marian has also played the lead role in the fantasy series Dyesebel, her second time starring opposite her now husband, Dingdong.
She has also played as Amaya in the award-winning show of the same title.
The actress is currently a host of Sunday PinaSaya.
So the questions is: Will the absence of both greatly affect GMA’s standing as a network?

Despite the Network Rivalty, ABS-CBN have always opened its doors to the Kapuso artists to cross over and let them promote their projects.

Fans of celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera was alarmed when they spotted the Dantes’s wedding and family photographs in episodes of ABS-CBN’s Ang Probinsyano aired in November last year and another one on August 8.
The Kapuso actor posted the video along with a public statement on his Facebook page regarding the incident.
Video Courtesy of Dingdong Dantes | Facebook
Dantes stated that their fans have informed them that their photographs have been used in two episodes of Ang Probinsyano. Those were photographs from Zia‘s baptism and the DongYan wedding in 2014, which were edited and aired without consent.
Last week, the DongYanatics has brought to my attention that photos of our family were used and altered for a primetime television show. In two episodes of Ang Probinsyano, our wedding photo and a photo taken during Zia’s baptism were edited and featured without the consent of our photographer and our family.
He said that he was hesitant about publicizing his response, but assured everyone that he has already written a letter to the production team of Ang Probinsyano.
I have been deeply thinking about disclosing my response to the public. However, I owe it to the DongYanatics, to other friends who also expressed their concern, and to our family, to share our action regarding this.
A letter has already been forwarded to the production team of Ang Probinsyano. This was done, in good faith, to express my dismay and deep concern.
The actor added that the use of online photographs must always have permission and sources citation. He wrote, “Courtesy and fair practice must always be observed especially in an established industry like ours. But whether or not it is done within the entertainment sector, we should always be reminded of the basic etiquette for online photo use and sharing that includes asking permission and/or citing sources.
I do hope that this won’t happen again to anyone.”
Dantes wrapped up his statement with an excerpt from the letter he sent to Ang Probinsyano‘s producer.
Below’s an excerpt from the letter that was sent to the producer of the show last August 11:
“I appreciate that you found artistic inspiration from the original photos. Unfortunately, there is the inescapable consequence that legal and moral rights were violated here. And as you may very well be aware of, established industry practice is against such act as it amounts to disrespect. Worst of all, as a father and husband, I cannot help but feel offended and deeply hurt by such actions, which happened not just once, but twice. Basic rules of courtesy in this case dictate that you first secure permission from the photographer and my Family.”
ABS-CBN has released a press statement, apologizing to the actor and his family saying that “there was no intent to disrespect of offend him and his family.”
They assured that the production team of Ang Probinsyano has commissioned a third-party contractor to create the photo props thus the team was not aware of the source.
The statement ended with “The program is conducting further investigation to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future”.
