Fans of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are pushing the loveteam to star in the upcoming Kapuso remake of the popular Korean drama Descendants of the Sun.
As the remake was announced as one of the Network’s upcoming projects this 2019, the Aldub fans have been tweeting nonstop, requesting for their favorite celebrities to be the main stars.
A Netizen said that the loveteam can do it as Richards has experience when it comes to action scenes and Mendoza can also do the character of Dra. Kang.
Pwedeng-pwede talaga ang AlDub sa Descendants of the Sun. Magaling naman sa action si Alden at 'yung character ni Doc Kang eh kaya naman ni Maine.

But there are also some who were against the idea of the duo assuming the roles, saying that Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado are to be the leads instead.
On the other hand, a Netizen questioned GMA-7‘s ability to produce quality shows as she mentioned that she has learned her lesson from the Philippine version of My Love from the Star.
GMA network will make an adaptation of "DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN"
Alden and Maine will be the lead.
wtf. HINDI NGA MAKAGAWA NG MAAYOS NA FILIPINO DRAMA EH SABAY GAGAWA NITO.
NADALA NA AKO SA ADAPTATION NG MY LOVE FROM THE STAR HA! kainis. ayusan nyo GMA.

I always knew I was a star.
And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me. -Freddie Mercury
Stars were just like ordinary people before they became famous. Some of them already had a share in the limelight even before making a name. Some were already stars in the making, and some were struggling for their star to shine bright.
Let’s see how some of the Filipino celebrities look like before they became famous. Did most of them already have star quality before they shone bright in the Philippine entertainment industry, or did they only shine after years of hard work?
Take a look at some of the most famous stars in the past and today and look back at how they started.
Here are some Pinoy celebrities before they became famous stars:
Before Dolphy became the “King of Comedy”, he was a theater performer and an extra in may films.
Fernando Poe Jr.
“Da King” started out as a stuntman before he took lead roles.
Christopher De Leon
Christopher started his acting career in 1974.
Vilma has always been pretty since she was a child actress.
Tito Sotto, Sharon’s uncle-in-law produced her first album which included the immortal “Mr. DJ” song.
“Asia’s Songbird” was once a regular in singing competitions, amateur and professional.
Before Gary became “Mr. Pure Energy”, he started out as a commercial model for a softdrink.
Vic was a singer known as “Marvic Sotto” even before he joined VST and company.
Lea has been singing since she was a child and even recorded albums before she was in Miss Saigon.

Quantum Films’ “English Only Please” would hardly fit in my list of memorable local rom-coms but it is sufficient.
The leads Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado have sufficient chemistry.
Jennylyn is sufficently endearing in playing her character. She is radiant in some sequences. Derek’s character would have been perfectly played by Sam Milby. There are times I cringe at his character’s attempt to spew Tagalog with an accent.
I believe this movie can be funnier and more interesting but for its random moments of kilig and quiet yet effective attempts to inject humor.
This flick is a 7/10.
