In an episode of It’s Showtime, comedian Vice Ganda expressed his frustration over getting blocked from dating app, Tinder.
During the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment on Wednesday, December 5, a contestant shared that she met her current partner online and Vice snapped, “Bad trip. Naka block ako sa Tinder eh!”
He continued and said that it may be the result of people mistaking her for a poser, thus reported her profile.
“Kasi ‘yung mga Pinoy, akala siguro nila poser. Ni-report ako nang ni-report, naka-block tuloy ako! Hindi tuloy ako maka-swipe right, bad trip!”
The comedian went on and said that it’s such a shame because he likes his display photo in the app and there has been a lot of foreigners talking to him.
“Ang ganda-ganda pa man din ng picture ko doon, ‘yung naka swimsuit ako sa Bohol. Ang dami kayang tsumitsika sa akin doon na foreigner!”
Co-host Anne Curtis suggested that he make a new account but Vice Ganda answered that it’s too late.
“Naka-block kasi ako talaga, e. Kahit ano’ng palit ko, hindi ko talaga siya mabuksan. Kailangan ng bagong e-mail.”
He then addressed the viewers, asking them to stop blocking him.
“Huwag niyo nga ako i-block! Ang dami rin kasing Vice. Ilalagay ko, ‘Vice Ganda – Ako Po ‘To.’”

No wonder GMA Network’s The Clash grand champion Golden Canedo somehow looked familiar to some of the viewers.
As soon as she appeared in the competition, netizens have began posting about her resemblance to the Popstar Royalty, Sarah Geronimo.
Golden was immediately asked about how she felt about the comparison. She answered that she’s happy and thankful as Sarah is her idol. “Happy po ako dahil parang pinahawig po ako sa idolo ko po na si Sarah G na sobrang galing po at saka sobrang sikat, kaya po nagpapasalamat din po ako na nakikita nila si Sarah G sa akin.”
But does she feel any pressure being compared to such a veteran singer. She answered no.
“Hindi naman po kasi, di ba po, mas magaling po siya, alam po natin. Mas nacha-challenge po ako na mas pagbutihin po kasi nakikita po nila ako na Sarah G.”
It’s Showtime appearance.
Prior to winning the contest, did you know that she also appeared on It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan?
It happened back in October 2017. She used her name Roma Golden Apa-Ap when she competed singing her rendition of Jona’s version of ‘Pusong Ligaw’.
Unfortunately, she did not win in the said segment.
Golden shared how she prayed really hard not to get the boot during pressure-packed moments of the The Clash.
“Kinabahan po ako, sinabi ko sa sarili ko baka makauwi na po ako sa Cebu, parang yung pagod ko hindi po nagbunga, kaya pray lang po ako ng pray.”
More than a year after Carl Malone Montecido became a finalist in the first season of It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan, it was revealed that he still hasn’t received his talent fees from his mall shows and television appearances.
‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ blind finalist Malone failed to obtain talent fees due to lack of necessary documents as posted by certain theater director named Paul Ballano via his facebook account.
Ballano shared how he met the blind contestant on Sunday, August 26. A certain Lyndon Tupas asked him for help regarding Carl’s financial state.
It turned out that the finalist doesn’t have his own place and he and his mom are currently occupying a space within Lyndon’s property.
PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ AND SHARE.
Yesterday, i was starving at 8am, since ayoko un food s hotel i decided to go a nearby tapsihan. While i was there waiting for my order, a man name Lyndon Tupas from Bacolod talked to me and asked me what am i doing in Bacolod since he is a friend of the owner of the tapsihan. I told him i have a show this September.
This man was very hospitable, specially when he knew that it was a rest day for me and told me, lets go and i will bring you to different places here. In bacolod he said, Laag ta! While we were on his van he said, Ay Paul naalala ko, di ba director ka? kilala mo ba si Carl Malone. And i said, yes familiar! And he said. “Perfect!! siya yun!!”
Ballano added, “Pero ang press release sa palabas na ito gagaan ang kanilang mga buhay pag sumali sila. Carl Malone was one of the Final 5. But among the 5, SYA LANG ANG HINDI NABIGYAN NG BREAK… Inspite of the million votes they gathered during the show just for him because its a voting show.”
The director then met the grand finalist and learned that he still hasn’t received his talent fee due to BIR documents and receipts he’s unable to provide. He stressed out that someone could’ve given him assistance in consideration of his condition.
My Opinion: Pambihira naman mga kapatid s industriya. BULAG yung tao!!! Tayo ngang nakakakita hirap mag ayos di ba? You should have given him an assistance, O ginawa nyong oportunidad ito ng di sya mabayaran ng buo sa isang bagay na kanyang pinaghirapan!!
Malone’s wife corrects Info.
In the comments section, a woman named Cris Y-m Montecido pointed out that this wasn’t true.
To further support the claim, here are the screenshots of Malone’s wife.
ABS-CBN did an Immediate Action.
According to a report by PEP.ph, Ballano informed them that ABS-CBN already called Carl and assured him that they will do something about the situation.
“Isa sa mga umaksyon nito ay si Direk Laurenti Dyogi, assured na aasikasuhin ito and they did.
“They were saying na hindi two years bago nakuha ang prizes. May balance lang daw sa mga TF nung bata from TV shows and mall shows yata.
“Authorization letter na lang ang hiningi nila para makuha na yung TF ni Carl,” lahad pa ni Direk Paul, na hindi alintana ang mga nam-bash sa kanya.”
Singer and TV personality Ogie Alcasid has been in the industry for 30 years and he admitted that there are times that he just wanted to quit the industry.
He said that there were times that he got frustrated over things, especially projects that didn’t fly but just got dissolved somewhere or failed in the music charts or in the box-office.
“Maraming beses akong napu-frustrate. Lalo na kapag flop ang movie. Mahina ang kanta, hindi masyadong nag-hit. May TV show, hindi masyadong tinanggap. Umigsi yung takbo ng teleserye.
“Siyempre, napu-frustrate ka rin.”
One of those incidents that caused him to doubt himself was the Little Big Shots incident last year.
The Kapamilya network chose him to be to be the host of the show, however, the franchise owner chose someone younger, and had Billy Crawford as his replacement.
“I guess noong last year, nag-doubt ako sa sarili ko. Kasi, may show noon na ako dapat ang host, si Billy ang napili. Naramdaman ko yun na parang hindi ako magaling.”
His wife, Regine Velasquez, also got shocked by the decision.
“Mas sobra siyang excited sa show na yun. So I said, ‘Honey, hindi ko nakuha yung show. Sabi niya, what?!’ Lungkot na lungkot siya nun, eh.”
Alcasid added that he got a little heartbroken over the situation but remained positive as he joined the panel of judges at It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan, and comedy series Home Sweetie Home.
“But you know, it’s good that you experience it. Mari-realize mo na hindi ka perpekto. At may mga bagay na hindi para sa ‘yo.
“Medyo, kasi parang, hindi pala ko magaling. Pero parang, okay lang, panahon na talaga ng mga bata…. But, hindi pala ko nilalagay ni Lord doon. Mas gusto pala niya kong mag-Showtime at saka yung music ko, dun pala niya ko gustong ilagay, then Home Sweetie Home. “
It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan grand champion Janine Berdin shared how overwhelmed she is with the blessings that poured in via the show. She sconsidered her victory as God’s gift to her and her family because with her winning the contest–it helped her family to pay off her grandmother’s dialysis.
The TNT season 2 winner admitted that her family has been facing a problem for a while now. It is regarding the bills of her grandma’s dialysis sessions.
Upon winning two million pesos from the show’s singing tilt, they finally have enough funds to help her grandma’s treatment.
Aside from the dialysis sessions, the prize money will be a big help to her studies as well as to her siblings’ education.
Janine shared that she thrilled about the upcoming concert of the TNT contestants, titled TNT All-Star Showdown that will happen in Araneta Coliseum on July 28. It was also revealed that she may be the ‘star of the show’.
She will be joined by all previous contestants TNTers along with the first grand winner, Noven Belleza.
Janine added that she’s sure with her recording career as she’s now signed a contract with TNT Records.
Her whole story will be aired on ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), hosted by Charo Santos-Concio. Janine will be the one portraying her character.
The life of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 1 grand champion was not easy.
Noven Belleza is the oldest child and has seven siblings, and so in order to help his parents, he became a rice farmer.
Belleza’s family had a weekly income of only Php1,000 and he had to sacrifice his own schooling for his siblings’ education.
When he joined and won Tawag ng Tanghalan, things have changed a lot. He won a house and lot along with Php2 million cash. And because of that, he was able to invest and buy his own farm.
In an interview, he admitted that if it wasn’t for TNT, he would still be a farming in the province. “Kung hindi po ako pinalad sa Tawag Ng Tanghalan, siguro nag-aararo pa rin po ako ngayon sa probinsya. Araw-araw po talaga naming kayod sa tubuhan para mapunan ‘yung pagkukunan namin sa buong linggo. Malaki po talaga ang naitulong ng Tawag Ng Tanghalan sa akin—lalong-lalo na po sa pamilya ko,”.
He added that even though his farm is still small, he still has plans on buying more land.
It wasn’t a smooth ride for Belleza as he was involved in a sexual assault case last 2017.
Noven is set to perform with other TNT singers at the upcoming TNT All-Star Showdown concert in Araneta Coliseum on July 28.
Anton Paolo Antenorcruz first made noise after claiming Showtime’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan Defending Champion on September 19. Since then, he became the judges’ favorite, even winning his second day as the defending champ.
Just a little recap, this good-looking singer sang ‘Forevermore’ on his first day of joining and scored 94.4%, making him a daily winner. He then went up against the defending champion and sang ‘Sana Maulit Muli’. Here, he got a higher score of 96.8% and was awarded standing ovation from the judges and our solid Madlang People.
But, little did we know that this “Cabin Crooner ng Paranaque” was once married to another man according to Mykiru.
Yes, you read that just right. It was axed during his TNT introduction, but a wedding video of this 25-year-old flight attendant can be found on YouTube. Butterflies everywhere, they were really in love.
Their tear-jerking wedding happened almost five years ago, December 13th of 2012. John Carasig, a Filipino-Australian flight attendant who later on joined MasterChef Australia was the lucky guy. Fun fact; he was 13 years older than Anton.
Many surprises are in this article, actually. Did you know that Anton joined the first season of X Factor Philippines and finished at Top 20? Yes, he competed alongside Michael Pangilinan and the X Factor PH winner, KZ Tandingan.
Watch their heartwarming wedding video made by the only Jason Magbanua here.
Unfortunately, both their marriage and relationship was short-lived. Problems rose months after their wedding that led to the couple’s break-up.
No reports still on Anton’s side. Nevertheless, let’s all wish him the best.
After facing a lawsuit from rape allegations, Tawag Ng Tanghalan Season 1 Grand Winner Noven Belleza is now off the hook after the complainant withdrew the case.
The accuser was a 19-year-old student from Brgy. Guadalupe, Cebu, according to her, the singer molested her inside his condominium in Brgy. Lahug. After weeks of fighting for the case, she said she was no longer interested in pursuing the complaint.
In an affidavit presented in the court, she said,
“After a sober soul-searching, assessment, and analysis of this case, I have realized that I have reached the point that I am no longer interested in pursuing the case due to inordinately adverse effects it brought to me and my family.”
She also stated that she just wants to achieve peace of mind by permanently withdrawing the complaint against Belleza. It is remembered that the 22-year-old singer was arrested by the operatives of the Mabolo Police Station last July 15.
Ma. Theresa Casiño, the prosecutor who handled the case said that they found a sufficient basis to indict Belleza on charges of rape by sexual assault.
And through further investigations, it was found out that Belleza and the victim knew each other for some time now and were constant ‘textmates’. In the first arrest, Belleza was released after posting a 120,000-peso bail.
