It looks like Bea Alonzo’s liking spree is not yet done.
After the Alonzo shared a cryptic post on her Instagram account that further fueled rumors of a breakup with Gerald Anderson, she began liking some posts alluding to Anderson’s alleged infidelity with his Between Maybes co-star Julia Barretto. A photo of Anderson and Barretto, supposedly taken during the 30th birthday party of Kapuso star Rayver Cruz, sparked a social media frenzy Sunday evening, July 22, with some users online concluding that the two Between Maybes stars were more than friends.
Jojo Gabinete on PEP.ph published an article saying Barretto’s father, Dennis Padilla called Anderson to confirm their relationship. “Sa naturang pag-uusap, kinumpirma umano ni Gerald kay Dennis na nililigawan niya si Julia. Umamin din daw siyang hiwalay na sila ni Bea.”
This news was reposted by a certain Kath Cabrera on Instagram and Alonzo liked it.
The netizen wrote, “LIKED. Don’t worry ate Bea we, your fans, are always here for you. Sa mga nambabash sa kahit sinong taong sangkot dito. Wala kaming pakialam, bea world only cares about you. God will heal you. God will help you. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH. You can absolutely do this! YOU DESERVE THE BEST 🙏🏻”
Meanwhile, Julia Barretto’s mother, Marjorie, said that she will hold people legally liable for posts about her daughter and co-star Gerald Anderson.
The news of their first movie project together set abuzz online and was met with much enthusiasm from fans of both artists. The two will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who is known for romantic comedy movies and melodramatic films.
With that said, here are the other times that talents from GMA Network worked with ABS-CBN film production company, Star Cinema:

This year’s highlight in showbiz is the exchange of partners among love teams. Like Kathryn Bernardo with Alden Richards, who recently announced their new tandem “KathDen.”
How about Daniel Padilla? Who will be his new lucky partner?
Kathryn’s longtime love team partner Daniel Padilla is rumored to have a new movie project with Charo Santos. Some say that it will be a comedy movie with the working title “Ang Lalaking Dumukot kay Charo Santos.”
But the question is, “Is it true?”
The rumors started over an Instagram post of Star Cinema executive Maluo Santos and film producer Niel Arce. This will be the first time that Daniel Padilla and Charo Santos would be in a movie that would be directed by Joyce Bernal, under Spring Films.
But still, there was no update when they would start the project.
This is not the first time that Daniel and Kathryn had worked separately with different projects. In 2017, Kathryn was one of the cast members for the family drama “Three Words to Forever,” while Daniel was also part of the cast of the movie “Revenger Squad.”
What is more important in having a new tandem or love team is the contentment of the viewers in watching the movie. Though it may not be the usual movie that fans used to watch of the loveteam partners, but directors and filmmakers have seen a potential in new pairings that could excite the viewers.
May may not agree of tandems having new partners, but neither is it bad to try for a change.
Recently, Star Cinema, under the direction of Cathy Garcia Molina, announced the first-ever movie of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, who will play the role of an OFW working in Hong Kong.
During the story conference of the KathDen movie last Tuesday, Alden was given a warm welcome by director Cathy Grace Molina, Roxy Liiquigan, Mico del Rosario, and director Olive ‘Inang’ Lamasan.
According to Roxy Liquigan, it took “5 months preparation” to arrange the team-up and there were speculations that the movie will not push through because Alden Richard is exclusively for GMA Network, and there was a possibility that the GMA Artist Center would not allowed him to do the project.
But with the help of Philip Rojas of Asian Artist Agency, headed by Boy Abunda, the project was made possible.
When both artists were asked about their reactions knowing that they would be working together, Kathryn said, “Kung tatanungin niyo ako kung kinakabahan ako, super!” and Alden’s reaction was, “Siyempre, first-time kong makakatrabaho si Kath. We’ve been seeing each other for a long time.”
Kathryn and Alden are known for having strong and loyal fans in their respective love teams, Kathryn with Daniel Padilla for “KathNiel, and Alden with Maine Mendoza for “Aldub.”
But having this new team-up, both their fans positively accepted the upcoming “KathDen” movie.
To show their love and support for both artist they posted their reaction on Twitter.

Some KathNiel fans show maturity by showing support for the upcoming movie.
And now because of Maine’s announcement on her blog that he is dating Arjo Atayde, some of the AlDub fans felt sad and hope this new team up would be a successful one.

Have you imagined the biggest star of both rival networks team up together in one movie? Well, now it’s really happening.
There were rumors spreading that there will be an upcoming movie for Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards. But now, they put an end to those rumors when Star Cinema finally confirmed that Alden and Kathryn are set to star in a romance-drama movie under the one of the industry’s best directors, Cathy Garcia Molina.
The movie will be revolving around young Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
On March 12, Kathryn and Alden finally met with the managing director Olivia Lamasan and director Molina. Although they haven’t decided the title of the movie yet, the film outfit had confirmed that the movie will come out this year.
They also confirmed that they will start filming the movie next month and most of the scenes will be filmed in Hong Kong. On a Twitter post of ROXYLIQUIGAN, @Roxy_Liquigan mentioned that it took 5 months to prepare for this movie project and thankedAlden for accepting the offer.
— ROXYLIQUIGAN (@Roxy_Liquigan) March 12, 2019
In addition to that, this is Alden’s first time to work with director Cathy but for Kathryn, this is her fourth time to work with her.
“This is the first time that I’ll be working with her so it’s a great honor and experience kasi I’m really on the stage of exploring the craft and my capability as an actor,” Alden told the press.
We all know that both stars are part of two leading love teams. Kathryn is with “KathNiel” pairing with Daniel Padilla, while Alden Richards is with “AlDub,” teaming-up with Maine Mendoza.
With the popularity of both love teams, Direk Cathy knew how much fans love the artists saying: “I both respect their fandoms.”
And now, she is appealing to the fandoms of both Alden and Kathryn to support them for the upcoming movie.
“Sana mahalin nila yung dalawa [with the] same [na] pagmamahal kasi hindi naman yung love team nila yung binebenta dito but yung kwento at yung galing nila bilang artista,” she added.
Make your momma proud!
Kathryn Bernardo is one young Filipino actress who made her mother proud after winning the Camera Obscura awards at the Films Ambasador’s Night, for being part of the highest grossing Pinoy film of all time – the Star Cinema produced-movie “The Hows of Us.”
Her mother, Min Bernardo, couldn’t contain her happiness and was so proud of her daughter’s newest achievement, together with all the cast and crew of the successful film. She was so thankful and considers this success as a miracle in an unexpected way.
“God gave us more than what most of us have prayed for. The “Hows of Us” is truly a miracle that came in the most unexpected way. Maraming salamat at napabilang tayo sa isang napakagandang pelikula na tumatak sa puso ng bawat isa.”
She wrote: “Sobra sobrang proud ako sa inyo. Nakakaiyak sa tuwa, sobrang ligaya ng puso ko.”

It was not only her mother who was so proud of her as it also brought joy and pride to her fans as they sent their congratulatory message to the young actress on Twitter and other social media websites.
For the “Hows of Us” director, cast and the crew, the passion and hard work that they all put on the project was all worth it.
Vice Ganda fans, rejoice!
Fantastica is a certified box office hit!
From his first main role in Petrang Kabayo (which earned Php 115 million) to his previous Manila Film Festival entry, The Revenger Squad, Vice didn’t stop setting the bar higher for his career.
The movie’s success is due to the massive support not just from Filipinos here in the Philippines, but worldwide as well.
Even with negative criticism, Fantastica has earned Php 596 million; making it Vice Ganda’s highest-grossing movie to date, beating his previous record of Php 571 million for the film “Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad” back in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival.
The good news was announced by Star Cinema during the film’s Thanksgiving party on Tuesday, January 29, 2018.
But not everyone is happy with Fantastica’s success.
Some dislike Vice Ganda’s continued reliance on ‘insult comedy’ and the innuendos that made some feel the movie is stale material; bringing nothing new to the table and with only the sheer star power of its lead guaranteeing its blockbuster status.
Since we are talking about box office earnings, who would forget the sensational Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s loveteam movie “The Hows of Us” way back in 2018? It broke the 800 million mark, making it the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
Fans can’t help comparing the films; even going as far as stating that the film is undeserving of its success for relying too much on its star power and references.
Now, what are your thoughts on Vice Ganda’s success?
Did you like the film or do you think its the same old formula with a different packaging? Leave a comment down below for your thoughts and please do like and share for more amazing content.
Angel Locsin has been missing in action from teleseryes since The Legal Wife. And now that she is coming back with The General’s Daughter, she shared the reason why it took her five years to star in a series again.
In the span of a few years, the actress went through a break-up, a spinal injury, and an almost resignation from ABS-CBN.
The reason for her teleserye hiatus was speculated to be one of those occurrences but at the press conference of The General’s Daughter, she shared that it was actually not the case.
So why? Darna.
“Noong gagawin ko po dapat ‘yung ‘Darna,’ mayroon kaming agreement ng ABS na hindi ako tatanggap ng ibang project hangga’t ginagawa po ‘yung ‘Darna.’ Dahil inabot tayo ng lampas limang taon ata ‘yung preparation ng ‘Darna,’ na-delay nang na-delay.”
Star Cinema announced in 2014 that Locsin would play as the Filipino female super hero once again for the film adaptation.
“Though nakakagawa ng ibang guestings, ng pelikula, ‘yung teleserye not allowed.
“May agreement naman po kami sa ganu’n, kasi mahirap at very physical. Pati ‘yung schedule na kailangan doon sa ‘Darna,’ medyo challenge. Natagalan po talaga.”
Though she was absent from teleseryes, she did take on some acting roles, including a two-part episode for Maalaala Mo Kaya, and a guest appearance in La Luna Sangre. She also continued to be a judge in Pilipinas Got Talent.
The actress was also in two non-action films under Star Cinema.
In 2017, she has decided to withdraw from Darna, citing her injury and how the role would require a lot of physical routines.
The General’s Daughter will premiere on Monday, January 21, after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Atom Araullo may be in the world of news and journalism, wherein the atmosphere is a bit more serious than showbiz, but he is also known for his good looks.
The promotional materials for Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil‘s movie, Alone/Together, has led to people digging about their old photos, including Arullo’s mother, Carol Pagaduan.
In a tweet, Araullo told his mom that there was someone who compared her childhood photo to Soberano.
Me: Ma, may nagkukumpara sa‘yo at kay Liza Soberano sa bago niyang pelikula (shows photos)
Ma: Mas maganda naman si Liza.
Me: Mangingisda ka rin pala 🎣
— Atom Araullo (@atomaraullo) January 10, 2019
When he shared the comparison, Pagaduan told his son that Soberano is much more beautiful. This resulted to him teasing his mom about fishing for compliments.
Netizens reacted to the adorable banter, saying that it’s no surprise that the journalist is handsome as well.
Now we know why you’re so cute.
— Mr. Fantasty (@ActuallyLexie) January 10, 2019
Another Twitter user said that aside from her beauty, the message in Pagaduan’s photo also caught his attention.
Bukod sa angking niyang ganda, mas napukaw ang atensyo ko dito.. pic.twitter.com/C0CBuBQTZi
— Clay (@claysalon) January 10, 2019
Someone also said that she looks like Dimples Romana.
Your mom also looks like Dimples Romana
— William (@padrewilly) January 10, 2019
Others then responded that aside from being beautiful, Pagaduan also has many admirable qualities.
There were 125 films shown last year. And most of them were from film festivals like Sinag Maynila, Cine Filipino, Cinemalaya, Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, TOFARM Film Festival, Cinema One Originals, QCinema, and the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival.
Despite a number of film festivals, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo‘s The Hows of Us topped the highest grossing film in 2018.
In fact, It was the only Filipino movie that has reached the eight hundred million mark in the Philippine box-office which beaten the previous holder of the top spot, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo‘s A Second Chance.
The movie also held premieres in Indonesia and Vietnam. It was Star Cinema‘s first time to do so in Jakarta.
KathNiel were not just rocking the box-office but the world of fashion as well. They were the cover of METRO Magazine‘s August 2018 issue.
They have been part of ABS-CBN’s line of representatives in the Thailand Network Trade Launch, which is the country’s largest media event. They attended the trade show with Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.
The couple has also won the Favorite Foreign TV Actor and Actress award in the Face of the Year Awards in Vietnam.
La Luna Sangre was acquired by MKCS Global became the platform for the show to be aired in Myanmar. She’s Dating the Gangster was also acquired by a Spanish movie channel called Cinelatino.
Last but not the least, aside from the success of their careers, 2018 has also been the mark of the confirmation of Bernardo and Padilla’s real-life romance of more than five years.
