Dingdong Dantes reacts to sale of coffin used in ‘Rewind’ film

After nearly two months since its release, the owner of St. Athanustus Memorial Chapel, Pasky Ilagan, decided to sell the coffin borrowed for the film, leading to a deal with vlogger and businessman Boss Toyo at the mentioned price.

Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes has offered his response to reports of the sale of the coffin he used in the movie ‘Rewind,’ which fetched a price tag of P250,000.

Dantes, who starred alongside Marian Rivera in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, witnessed its success as one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

Taking to social media, Dantes shared a post by entertainment reporter MJ Felipe regarding the sale of his cinematic coffin, humorously commenting, “Medyo comfy siya huh….”

In response, Boss Toyo extended an invitation to Dantes to visit his shop, where the coffin was displayed, for a signing event.

“Sir Dingdong alam ko nanonood ka lagi ng Pinoy Pawnstar.Nandito sa harapan ko ‘yung hinigaan mo sa Rewind so I hope kapag nagkasundo kami ni Sir [Pasky], pasyalan mo naman ako dito sa aking munting shop para mapirmahan,” Boss Toyo expressed.

To which Dantes playfully replied, “‘Yung pirma manggagaling daw sa susunod na gagamit.”

Netizens weighed in with a variety of reactions to Dantes’ lighthearted response, with some humorously commenting on the unusual nature of the situation.
