Bong Revilla Jr. meets with Star Cinema for potential movie with Kathryn Bernardo

Netizens voiced out their opposition against the idea, saying that Star Cinema should distance Revilla from Bernardo.

Senator Bong Revilla is ready to start the filming of his new Kapuso show titled ‘Agimat ng Agila‘. Taping starts February 8 and the show will air sometime around late March to April. The show will be directed by Rico Gutierrez.

Revilla said that they are currently in the middle of polishing scripts and making sure the quality will be good.

“We polished the script muna to make sure it will be a good show for the whole family at puwede maski sa mga bata. Ibang-iba ang attack at treatment nito, pati special effects, binusisi. Very fresh and the viewers will surely be delighted and pleased.”

The senator also talked about his future projects as he shared that he recently met with Star Cinema for a movie. It will revolve around a father and daughter where he’ll co-star with Kathryn Bernardo. It may be his entry for the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival.

When it came to Janine Gutierrez’s comment regarding his television comeback, he said that he respects everyone’s opinion. “Right nila ‘yun, so hindi problema sa’kin. Mahal ko lahat ng nasa industriya at gusto ko, magturingan tayo bilang magkakapatid. Maliit lang ang industry natin so, let’s just move on, magtulung-tulong na lang tayo.”

He added that he has no problem if Gutierrez will make a guest appearance on his upcoming show.

Meanwhile. netizens reacted to the news of Bernardo and Revilla’s possible movie tandem.

Most of the reactions were negative, especially since Revilla was convicted for his involvement in the Priority Development Assistance Fund scam and was subsequently imprisoned for plunder.
