Jimmy Bondoc’s Facebook post on his excitement on the possible closure of the “biggest network” (which he later revealed to be ABS-CBN) has stirred up a lot of emotions from people throughout the industry.
Many expressed their disappointment in Bondoc, especially his careless disregard of the loss of thousands of jobs that such a shutdown would bring about.
If there is a positive side to Bondoc’s actions, it is that the well-known personalities from entertainment and from news and current affairs have broken down the network divide to express their messages of support and of gratitude to ABS-CBN. Kapamilya and Kapuso overlooked their differences to show solidarity and give their support to ABS-CBN.
Rey Agapay who has been working at the GMA network for 20 years has shown his support to the other network.

Comedian and It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda shared the story of his and fellow fan and impersonator Anton Diva‘s visit to their ultimate idol’s home.
Vice recalled that he first saw Regine Velasquez in her concerts.
But the most memorable moment was when they were in her home and was able to experience wearing her clothes.
That time, magkasize pa kami.
He added that Regine didn’t just make them wear her clothes, but also offered him to check which shoes fit so that they can take it home.
He also gushed about Anton and how they’re such big fans of the Asia’s Songbird.
Vice then stated that he will be Regine’s fan “forever”.
“Fan pa din. I will forever be your fan. I will forever be excited to watch you, to see you, to hear you sing, to watch your performances. I will forever be a Regine Velasquez fan.”
American singer Brian McKnight is in the Philippines for his concert series.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, he shared how thrilled he is to be back in the country, especially now that he has a greater connection with Filipinos than before.
McKnight and his Filipina girlfriend of three years, Leilani Malia Mendoza, tied the knot last New Year’s Eve in Oheka Castle, New York. The couple has been together since 2014 and got engaged in 2017.
Now that he’s married to a Filipina, he was really looking forward to be back in the Philippines.
“Well, I guess now it starts with my wife and her family. Being married to a Filipina is a fantastic thing. My love for Filipino food has gone through the roof.”
When he was asked what endeared him the most about the Philippines, he answered, “Just the love.”
The singer added, “There is so much love here. So many people, as you meet them and you come back year after year, and you see how much they love you… They constantly tell you that they love you. There is so much heartfelt love for the kind of music that I do.”
He also grateful toward his fans who continuously supports his music even though some have been released way back in the 90s.
McKnight has previously collaborated with Filipino singers such as Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Gary V, and Kyla.
His hits include One Last Cry, Back at One, and 8, 6, 12.
The internet went crazy when ABS-CBN‘s 2018 Christmas station ID “Family is Love” on Sunday, November 18, during ASAP Natin To.
There has been hundreds of stars seen in the video, which included, Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, Sarah Geronimo, Gary Valenciano, Piolo Pascual, and Regine Velasquez. Loveteams KathNiel, LizQuen, JaDine, JoshLia, and MayWard were also present in the video.
But as it seemed like every Kapamilya star has participated in the Station ID, there are still notable stars who were not sighted in the video.
Janno openly expressed his disappointment on Instagram. In his now-deleted post, he told everyone not to look for him at the Station ID because he was not even given the chance to participate.
“Throwback to Sept. 12 this year when I signed with @starmusic.ph. Naalala ko lang. Sila yata di ako naalala e.”
He also replied to one comment saying that maybe it’s because he’s not signed on a network contract, but as far as he knows, as long as you’re a recording artist, you’ll be included on the station ID.
When another netizen suggested for him to return to GMA-7, however, he told that the Kapuso network isn’t giving him any projects.
The Megastar was also not included in the Station ID. She is currently filming for her movie with Kathryn Bernardo and Richard Gomez, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Julia, who is filming for Doctors to the Barrio alongside Kean Cipriano, was also not sighted in the music video.
The Exes Baggage star was also absent.
Alessandra De Rossi
Alessandra was also not in the station ID. Her movie ‘Through Night and Day‘ is currently showing in cinemas.
DonKiss fans fans have noticed the absence of the loveteam’s other half Kisses.
Judy Ann Santos
Like the artists listed above, Judy Ann did not participate in this year’s ABS-CBN Station ID.

With Regine Velasquez’s recent network transfer, other celebrities’ singing videos have resurfaced.
But it wasn’t because of their amazing vocals but because of their interesting way of pronouncing the lyrics.
One video is Kim Chiu’s rendition of Jesse J’s ‘Flashlight’ from the 2015 movie ‘Pitch Perfect 2.’
Netizens poked fun at the way the actress made a shaking movement with her hand, which she did twice, and her lyric mistakes. It took place during her 10th anniversary concert last April 2016 titled ‘Chinita Princess: The Funtasy Concert’ at the Araneta Coliseum.

She sang with then Kapuso actors Alden Richards, Derrick Monasterio, Jake Vargas, Kristoffer Martin, and Elmo Magalona. Another video of Barbie has spread online. It was when she guested in a Vivo event and sang Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules.’
Barbie, however, was aware of her limited singing skills and just laughed it off during a previous interview. “I love it!” she exclaimed when asked about what she felt when her first video went viral.
The three have become viral memes because of their singing videos and netizens grabbed the chance to joke about it.

Regine Velasquez recently made her first talk show appearance as a Kapamilya in ‘Gandang Gabi Vice.’ The episode aired last Sunday, October 28.
Vice said that GGV has become the official show to welcome new and returning ABS-CBN artists like the Asia’s Songbird to the network.
Staying true to his word, Vice then gave Regine her access card to enter the premises and buildings in the ABS-CBN compound.
The singer also admitted that she did try guesting in the show even when she was still a Kapuso. This is also the reason why she felt extremely overwhelmed about her appearance in GGV.
“You don’t know how happy I am to actually be here. Tinitignan kita kasi parang ang tagal ko nang gustong mag guest dito sa GGV, parang na ooverwhelm ako Vice, I’m so happy.
“I am very happy. Like I said, di ba, parang ilang beses akong nag-a-attempt na gusto kong mag-guest? And I’m just so happy that I’m finally here.
On the other hand, Vice also said that he wanted Regine to guest on the show ever since its premiere in 2011.
Vice then joked and compared Regine to an OFW going overseas to work and finally returning home.

Regine Velasquez‘s welcome presscon as a Kapamilya was held on Wednesday, October 17, and the singer can’t contain her excitement with all the possibilities in her new network.
She shared that she has signed for two years with ABS-CBN and said that she will join Sunday variety show ASAP as well as have a musical sitcom with her husband, Ogie Alcasid, and actor Ian Veneracion. She will also be one of the judges of the upcoming Idol Philippines.
The Asia’s Songbird also expressed her interest in making a special appearance in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano with Coco Martin. She then added that it’ll be an honor to be a part of the show as it’s one of the most popular series of this generation.
“Oo naman. Kasi ‘te, sino bang walang may alam ng Probinsyano?
“Kahit saan, Probinsyano talaga, e!”
She then shared an interesting incident when they went to the United States.
Regine then added that she’s happy for Coco and the success of his long-running action series and compared his popularity to Lito Lapid‘s level during his time.
“Pero I’m so happy for Coco, even though he doesn’t know me personally.
“You can see how hardworking he is as a person, as an artist. And I know, I’ve been hearing things about him that they love working with him because he’s a good… he directs, tapos magaling siyang katrabaho so hahangaan mo talaga.”
Superstar yun noong araw. Tapos parang siguro kasi dream niya rin to work with them, I don’t know. Talagang sinasama niya nakakatuwa.”
Regine Velasquez has dubbed ABS-CBN Network as the “number one station” in the country.
In her media conference at the Dolphy Theater, she clarified the real reason why she signed with the Kapamilya network. She said that it’s not because of how much was offered to her, but because of the opportunities to work with talented artists.
“No… you know, at my age and at the stage of my career, we all know, you know, alam nilang lahat ng mga reporters dito na mga kaibigan ko na, hindi naman ako ilusyunadang tao.
“But the reason why I’m here is because hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan ko pa kayang kumanta, and I want to work with their talented singers.”
She then proceeded to acknowledge ABS-CBN as the number one station.
Regine also revealed that she’s looking forward to working with the network’s biggest singers such as Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Piolo Pascual, Morissette Amon, and Sarah Geronimo.
On the night after her busy day last October 17, Regine Velasquez went live on Instagram to talk to her supporters.
She said that she wanted to take videos of the happenings earlier that day, but there was a lot of people around her and it slipped off her mind.
“Thank you very much again for your support, sa lahat ng pagmamahal. Mag-picture nalang tayo some other time. Magkikita pa naman tayo.
“I’m so overwhelmed, but I’m so happy. Maraming maraming salamat.”
Regine then proceeded to thank her home network for 20 years, GMA.
Sa GMA, thank you for supporting me.”
The Asia’s Songbird explained the reason behind her tears that kept on spilling throughout the day.
Pasensya na, pero I was so overwhelmed. I’m so so so so excited.”
Despite her excitement, she also admitted that she feels nervous with this new career move.
“I’m nervous. I’m a little scared but I’m so happy.”
