Angel, 13, who is a vlogger, has been trending online for the past few weeks but for the wrong reasons.
Early this month, she ordered Php364,000 worth of McDonalds from Grab Food then canceled it. She even told the driver ‘gago ka’ in the notes.
She got a lot of heat from that and was bashed on social media.
She apparently hasn’t learned her lesson yet and struck again, ordering Php2m250 worth of milk tea from Grab Food, but this time it got worse.
The Grab driver, Ewocks Dela Cruz Dilan, aired his frustration out on Facebook group ‘247Riders GRAB COMMUNITY’.
Based on the screenshots posted by netizen Junize San Diego, Angel ordered Php2,250 worth of milk teas from Dilan. Angel even said that she wanted them cold.
Dilan asked if Angel really wanted to order that much because he was well aware of ‘fake grab bookings’. Angel then replied that she was serious about it so Dilan and went and bought over a dozen milk teas.
Angel then texted Dilan saying that it was just a prank. Dilan then revealed that he could have used the money to buy milk for his child. Netizens then started bashing Angel for what she did.
In an update, San Diego said that Angel’s mother and Dilan have patched things up and Dilan was paid for the milk teas.
“recent update na nakapag usap na yung family ng nag PRANK at yung Grab Food driver so nakapag-settle na sa amount, pls see the last photo for this update. Let this be an awareness to ALL.”
She urges people not to do the same because Grab drivers do not really make a lot.
“Sa mga kabataan dyan, guys, pls huwag kayo maglaro ng ganito. 💔 Kung hindi kayo makikinig sa parents niyo at hindi niyo alam na mali ito, ako na mismo nagsasabi na mali to. Mali na manloko ng tao.”
A girl by the name of Angel is getting bashed for a prank that she did on a Grab Food driver.
In a screenshot that was posted, Angel ordered a total of 364,000 pesos in food but then canceled it.
Her order consisted of 200 20-pieces of McNuggets and 400 orders of Chicken McDo and McNuggets McShare Bundle of 4.
Her special instructions even said, “Gago Ka.”
I’m so disgusted sa ginagawa ng mga kabataan ngayon, they ordered 400+ food sa grab with a total of 360,000 pesos tapos pinaka-cancel nila kasi prank lang daw yun.

Also in another incident, Angel ordered milk teas worth Php2,250. The driver bought the drinks but received a text from the girl saying that it was just a prank.
The driver was really sad because he could’ve used the money to buy milk for his child.

I'm a crew of McDonald's at yang ginawa mo girl, hindi nakakatuwa.

I think this is ridiculous. Grab drivers should not be entitled to pay any cent. Any orders should directly link from the store to the grab company. Babayaran nalang sila ng fix salary at the end of the month. ALSO THIS IMMATURE KID NEEDS TO BE TRACKED DOWN.

Grab Philippines said that they will be imposing a lifetime ban on Angel.
Hi Zeke! After careful investigation, the passenger is now banned after being proven to be a repeat offender of no-show. Rest assured that we're continuously working to protect our delivery-partners and that we take violations like this seriously. Thank you!

Those who needed a car ride would usually click the Grab app on their smartphone. Just recently, the Grab upgraded their services as they also offer Grab Foodservice for people who are hungry and too lazy to go out and buy their own food.
The customer orders food through the Grab app and available grab food drivers will notify their availability and after ordering the food via Grab app, the driver would purchase the food then later gets paid by the customer, this is the usual scenario of a Grab food driver.
This service is very convenient for those who used to order on working breaks but there are instances that customers are not satisfied with the service and immediately cancels their order.
A Facebook user, Cristly Jean Monta, shared her sad experience when she accidentally heard a Grab food driver begging the customer to sell the ordered food to somebody else, due to the immediate cancellation of the order and the reason behind the cancellation was the late delivery of the ordered food.
The driver at that moment wanted to cry while begging the customer because he had no replacement money for the amount he spent for the customer’s ordered food and since the customer doesn’t want to pay him, he suggested selling it to somebody else.
He was already near the location when the customer cancelled the order. Because of traffic, the ordered food was late on its expected time to arrive. According to Cristly, who was waiting for a taxi nearby, she heard that the driver was being scolded by the customer.
On Cristly’s post, she called out to those people who wants to use the Grab Food app to be considerate, especially with some factors that can cause the delay of food delivery like traffic and the lengthy time a driver has to line-up ordering the food.
“Sana naman sa mga mag o-order ng grabfood e consider niyo naman po yung traffic at tsaka ang pagpila pa ng driver para sa cravings niyo. Kung hindi mahaba pasensya niyo wag na kayo umorder, kayo na ho yung bumili. Okeh? 😑”
So accidentally while walking I heard this guy begging na ibenta nalang sa iba yung naorder nya “grabfood driver” po…
Cristly’s post went viral garnering 20 thousand shares and 41 thousand reactions. Some netizens posted their sympathy over the Grab food driver.
And some of the netizens gave Grab some suggestions to improve their services.
Mmina Maclang: Grab just add a function that a customer cannot cancel an order if the food has already been received by the rider; if the customer wishes to continue to cancel the order, their card or Grab Wallet will be charged to compensate the rider. If they refuse, their Grab Food account will be suspended for some amount of time—their previous order will still be charged to them the next time they Grab a ride or order food, the same way failed credit card transactions are charged during the next cashless ride.
dapat meron tong ibang model like bawal i-cancel pag nai-order na like after 10mins…or kelangan pag o-order ka card basis or may load yung grab account mo.
