Lars Pacheco experiences wardrobe malfunction on ‘It’s Showtime,’ netizens express their concern and support

Netizens were quick to voice their worry and concern for Lars, especially that the video and screenshots of the incident continued to spread on social media.

Netizens expressed their concern and support for Lars Pacheco, the transwoman grand finalist of the “Miss Q and A,” after she experienced a wardrobe malfunction during the opening number of It’s Showtime today, October 25.

While singing the theme song of the noontime show beside Kuya Kim, her dress started to fall off, exposing one of her breasts.

Unfortunately, Lars was focused on performing and didn’t notice it at first.

But she quickly turned away from the camera after she noticed that a part of her upper body was exposed.

Kuya Kim, without knowing what happened, even pulled her back but Lars handled the situation like a pro.

Netizens were quick to voice their worry and concern for Lars, especially that the video and screenshots of the incident continued to spread on social media.

Under Republic Act (RA) 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, anyone who uploads a screenshot or video of Lars’ wardrobe malfunction on the internet could be penalized.

RA 9995 prohibits four specific acts: taking photo or video coverage of person or persons in the sexual act or their private areas; copying or reproducing such images with or without considerations; selling or distributing the images; and publishing in print, broadcasting, showing or exhibiting the recordings through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones and other similar means or device.

Any person found guilty of violating this law could be penalized with imprisonment of three to seven years and a fine of P100,000 up to P500,000 at the discretion of the court.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda, on behalf of the show, apologized to viewers who may have been offended by the accident.

“Gusto lang po naming linawin ang naganap na pangyayari kay Lars Pacheco. Nagkaroon po ng wardrobe malfunction kanina si Lars Pacheco. Wala pong may kagustuhan nun,” he announced during the program.

“Kahit si Lars ay hindi kagustuhan ang nangyari, at sino man sa mga host o bahagi ng programang ito ay hindi ginusto ang pangyayari. Kung mayroon pong na-offend doon ay humihingi kami ng paumanhin sa lahat po ng nakakita at nakapanood,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lars took to Twitter her apology regarding the wardrobe malfunction. She tweeted, “PATAWAD PO SA HINDI INAASAHANG PANGYAYARI KANINA. HINDI KO PO GINUSTO AT WALA PONG SINUMAN ANG MAY GUSTO SA NANGYARI. KUNG MAYROON MAN PONG NA OFFEND SA NANGYARI PAUMANHIN PO. PATAWAD PO. GODBLESS EVERYONE ❤️”
