Fans of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are pushing the loveteam to star in the upcoming Kapuso remake of the popular Korean drama Descendants of the Sun.
As the remake was announced as one of the Network’s upcoming projects this 2019, the Aldub fans have been tweeting nonstop, requesting for their favorite celebrities to be the main stars.
A Netizen said that the loveteam can do it as Richards has experience when it comes to action scenes and Mendoza can also do the character of Dra. Kang.
Pwedeng-pwede talaga ang AlDub sa Descendants of the Sun.

But there are also some who were against the idea of the duo assuming the roles, saying that Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado are to be the leads instead.
On the other hand, a Netizen questioned GMA-7‘s ability to produce quality shows as she mentioned that she has learned her lesson from the Philippine version of My Love from the Star.
GMA network will make an adaptation of "DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN"
Alden and Maine will be the lead.
wtf. HINDI NGA MAKAGAWA NG MAAYOS NA FILIPINO DRAMA EH SABAY GAGAWA NITO.
NADALA NA AKO SA ADAPTATION NG MY LOVE FROM THE STAR HA! kainis. ayusan nyo GMA.

“Hindi ko pa rin po alam. Sana po,” he said when asked at his Thanksgiving Party.
“Pero sa ngayon po, as of the moment, wala pa pong final words sa soap opera.”
The fans of Coco Martin have noticed that Maine Mendoza failed to mention the actor’s name while they’re promoting their upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2018 entry, Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles on Sunday Pinasaya.
Netizens have expressed their disappointments via Twitter, calling the production “bitter” for not even acknowledging Martin as one of the lead cast members.
According to a report by Pep.ph, an isider has confirmed that the artists were not allowed to say the actor’s name on Sunday Pinasaya as Mendoza and Vic Sotto‘s names were also not mentioned every time the movie is promoted via ABS-CBN.
But Martin has no hard feelings and even said that he actually wished to go to Eat Bulaga! as a guest.
“Actually, wala naman pong problema yun kasi ngayon, sabi ko nga, wala nang rival.
“Ang paggawa ng pelikula, lalo na ngayong Kapaskuhan, ginagawa po natin ito para mapaligaya yung mga Pilipino, hindi po para maglaban-laban kung sino yung magiging number one.”
He added that their only goal is to bring happiness to those who will watch the film come December 25 and onwards.
In a recent Instagram post by entertainment personality Lolit Solis, defended GMA Network, expressing her thoughts about the assumptions of Netizens that Coco Martin is banned from being mentioned in any Kapuso shows.
She said that she doesn’t believe that the network is that petty to actually prohibit the stars from saying the actor’s name and maybe Maine Mendoza just had a “moment” and forgot to mention her other co-star in the movie Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles.

#lolitkulit #instatalk #71naako @mr.cocomartin
Martin then replied to the post, saying that he understood and he has high respect toward GMA Network especially that it’s the Network that first opened its doors for him.
“Napakabait po nila sakin kaya wla pong problema sakin yon at kahit kaylan hindi ako mag tatampo sa kanila.”
He added that he’s also grateful for having the chance to work with Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza.
Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles will be out on December 25 as an entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Maine Mendoza expressed her happiness in a single tweet that became the source of her fans’ joy.
In a tweet posted on November 25, she said “So much happier now than I’ve ever been and so so grateful for that.”
So much happier now than I’ve ever been and so so grateful for that. ❤️😌

As the message had no details, others assumed that it is linked to the dating rumors between the TV personality and actor Arjo Atayde.
They have been spotted together in several occasions including a dinner at a restaurant in Makati City and at a bar in Bonifacio Global City.
A few weeks ago, Mendoza and Atayde were once again rumored to have spent a trip in Bali, Indonesia together. They were also seen watching a concert in Quezon City a few days after the said vacation.
In an interview last November 15, Atayde said that he is happy with the current state of his love life, but the actor didn’t disclose more details regarding such.

A fan of the Pambansang Bae Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza recently passed away due to cancer.
According to the fan Gail’s sister, the actor’s ‘Adrenaline Rush’ last September 21 was the last concert they ever watched together before she passed away on October 8. It’s a sad thought but her sister said that she was happy while watching Alden perform.
She remembered it all after watching the replay of the concert telecast last October 14.
It’s bittersweet watching #ALDENAdrenalineRushOnSNBO on TV tonight. This was the last concert my sister @LaDivaVida and I saw together before she passed away on October 8 after battling cancer since 2016. She was so happy watching you perform, @aldenrichards02.
She added that they actually received the devastating news that her sister’s cancer got worse on the day of the concert, however, Gail still wanted to enjoy that night.
We actually received the devastating news that her cancer had spread again to her pelvic area on the day of the concert but she was determined to enjoy #ALDENAdrenalineRushOnSNBO.
Our tickets were my gifts to her, my mom and our kasambahay, to support Alden.
Aside from the concert, her sister still got to purchase three of Maine Mendoza’s MAC lipstick.
We didn’t expect that a little more than 2 weeks later, she would have complications from surgery to remove her tumors. Still, before then, she made sure she would get the MAC lippie of @mainedcm for herself, for me and my mom.
She also shared her sisters’ little interactions with Alden and his dad.
During the group photo after Adrenaline Rush, she asked Alden to hold the “Walang Iwanan” banner with her and was able to tell @R_FAULKERSoN how Alden has given joy to her and my family despite her condition.
She then expressed her thankfulness to all the people in fandom they have met.
We are thankful to everyone in this fandom whom we have met in the events we’ve gone to. My sister Gail treasured you all. Supporting DongYan and MaiChard was one of the things which gave her strength to press on through her illness.
I hope those who met her briefly or knew her a bit would remember her smile and courage. Let’s treasure each day we have and show our love to the people who matter most to us. That’s what I learned from Ate Gail. I love you and I miss you, @LaDivaVida. Go sing with the angels now
Maine Mendoza contradicted the rumors that she and love team partner Alden Richards are just using each other so that AlDub fans will still support their individual projects.
AlDub became a phenomenon in 2015 after they started interacting with each other in Eat Bulaga’s ‘Kalye Serye’ segment.
The issue of “using each other” was brought to Maine’s attention after Twitter user @PaaNgMaichard warned Maine’s fans to stop calling Alden a ‘user’ as both of them still have solo projects to promote in the near future.
Maine took notice of the tweet and replied that she’s not forcing anyone to support her projects.
Alden and Maine continue to be co-hosts in the noontime show, however, both also have their own projects.
Alden is currently starring in GMA 7’s Victor Magtanggol with love interests Janine Gutierrez at Andrea Torres while Maine is part of the cast of the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Jack Em Popoy: The PulisCredibles with Coco Martin and Vic Sotto.

Celebrities are often watched out for their skills and projects, but one of the most important things that they should also prioritize is their fashion sense. As individuals being closely watched or even scrutinized by the public eye.
It is unavoidable that these stars are criticized on their fashion choices especially in the age of social media.
Here are some of the most talked about and most controversial clothing pieces that celebrities wore at some point of their careers:
1. Devon Seron
Devon Seron wore a red plaid polo and skirt in a promotional mall show for her film Walwal. She did not escape the criticisms as a Netizen criticized her outfit was a ‘fashion disaster’.
Devon reacted and said that the most important thing is how one sees herself or himself. She also added that she was sick that day but she felt pretty amazing wearing the said outfit.

3. Kim Chiu
Actress Kim Chiu and designer John Herrera once had a miscommunication because of a gown that was supposed to be worn by the actress at the 66th FAMAS awards night.
According to reports, the designer made a Php100,000 gown for her to wear for the special occasion but the arrangements didn’t push through. Herrera expressed his disappointment and stated that his team couldn’t even enter the village where Kim Chiu lives resulting in her not being able to fit the gown.
The problem died down when both sides tweeted saying that they want to ‘move forward’ and leave the issue behind.
4. Maggie Wilson
Miss World Philippines Maggie Wilson got into an argument with a Netizen regarding her OOTD during a trip in Jordan. The Netizen asked if her outfit was appropriate considering that Jordan is a Muslim-dominated country.
Maggie defended her outfit saying that even if 85% of the population there is Muslim, no one actually cares what one wears. She also added that she respects the people, culture, and rules in every place she visits.
5. Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia
Netizens and artists alike poked fun at Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia‘s Ethiopian inspired pre-wedding photo shoot for a magazine. Its pattern resembled various things like pillows and bags of ordinary people.
The couple was also criticized as many thought that their outfits in the said photoshoot were culturally inappropriate.

8. Maria Isabel Lopez
Many criticized actress Maria Isabel Lopez back during the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. She was accused of being a ‘scene-stealer’ as she got more attention in the red carpet compared to the film director Brillante Mendoza and lead star Jaclyn Jose, because of her bright colored and eye-grabbing emerald green gown. She, later on, apologized to the director and her co-stars, explaining that she did not intend to steal the spotlight away from them.
She was wearing a gown that was designed by Albert Andrada.

10. Maine Mendoza
The most controversial of all is probably the issue of Maine Mendoza‘s Tamang Panahon gown that resulted in a lawsuit filed by stylist Liz Uy to fashion blogger Michael Sy Lim.
The issue started when people pointed out that Maine’s gown was the same gown as Kim Chiu wore at the 2013 Francis Libiran Metrowear Icon Fashion Show. In an official statement by the designer Francis Libiran, he stated that “We are so glad, honored, and grateful that Maine Mendoza and her official stylists, Stylized Studio, Inc., chose a beautiful Francis Libiran dress from our Spring/Summer 2015. Maine Mendoza’s gown at Eat Bulaga’s Tamang Panahon concert for a cause was bought and paid for by Eat Bulaga Production.”
In Liz Uy’s 24-page complaint submitted to the court, she cited Lim’s tweets and blog post regarding his entries at the website Fashion Police, criticizing her for making the artist wear a “recycled” gown and a “hand-me-down” Gucci jacket at one of Maine’s magazine photoshoots.
Liz Uy filed cases of online libel and grave slander against Michael Sy Lim.
