Vice Ganda politely corrects ‘Rampanalo’ contestant’s mindset on poverty

During the segment, Vice politely corrected the contestant’s statement about poverty, which was, “Masarap naman po mabuhay bilang mahirap.”

Vice Ganda has received praise for his kind and helpful guidance to a ‘Rampanalo’ contestant during the July 3 episode of ‘It’s Showtime.’

The contestant said it was okay to be poor.

During the segment, Vice politely corrected the contestant’s statement about poverty, which was, “Masarap naman po mabuhay bilang mahirap.”

Mahirap sila at nakakapag-aral sila, okay ‘yon,” Vice said.

The contestant then answered “Gusto po” when asked by the host if he aspired to be wealthy one day.

“Yon! Kaya ‘wag mong sasabihing okay, masarap maging mahirap kasi hindi totoo ‘yan. Mali ‘yon, mali.

Viewers praised the host for not agreeing to the contestant’s age-old thinking.

Vice also advised the contestant to change his mindset.

“Mindset, mindset, mindset! Magiging mayaman ako at mabuting tao pa din.

“We change the mindset, diba? ‘Wag nating niro-romanticize ang poverty.”
