Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban get praised for speaking up regarding COVID-19 situation and ABS-CBN franchise

ABS-CBN stars and personalities call the attention of the public to support them in fighting for the network’s right to broadcast.

  • Angelica Panganiban and Angel Locsin trended after they delivered powerful speeches via live stream.
  • They tackled different topics like information dissemination, mass testing, democracy, etc.

Kapamilya actresses Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban were applauded online after they took part in a live online conference with other notable ABS-CBN figures.

The two talked about their thoughts and worries regarding the current situation of the country because of the COVID-19 pandemic and how the ABS-CBN franchise issue came to place.

“Naniniwala po ako na if we get through this pandemic alive, physically and mentally healthy, para po sa akin isa na pong napaka-laking accomplishment.

She emphasized how much ABS-CBN can help the current situation by disseminating information to those who need it the most as not everyone is privileged enough to have access to the internet.

“The more information, the easier access to information for everyone is better.

She ended her statement by saying that she believes that the shutdown of the media giant is not a solution to the country’s challenges and will not help Filipinos go through the pandemic.

On the other hand, Panganiban took her statement in a more personal and emotional approach by reminding everyone that she’s actually adopted.

She compared the love she received from her adoptive family to the love that ABS-CBN gave her.

And as an act of gratitude, she vows to give back to those who need it.

She added that it’s also their responsibility to be the support for those who are sad, who wants to laugh, and those who are needing much-needed information.

Teary-eyed, Panganiban said that the closure of the Kapamilya network is not just the loss for them who work there, but the loss of the whole country.

She then addressed the issues that are supposed to be prioritized in the middle of a pandemic.

The two actresses were commended and supported by netizens for fearlessly voicing their opinions.
