- She then said that even if she doesn’t know Coco Martin personally, she’s proud of his achievements.
Regine Velasquez‘s welcome presscon as a Kapamilya was held on Wednesday, October 17, and the singer can’t contain her excitement with all the possibilities in her new network.
She shared that she has signed for two years with ABS-CBN and said that she will join Sunday variety show ASAP as well as have a musical sitcom with her husband, Ogie Alcasid, and actor Ian Veneracion. She will also be one of the judges of the upcoming Idol Philippines.
The Asia’s Songbird also expressed her interest in making a special appearance in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano with Coco Martin. She then added that it’ll be an honor to be a part of the show as it’s one of the most popular series of this generation.
“Oo naman. Kasi ‘te, sino bang walang may alam ng Probinsyano?
“Kahit saan, Probinsyano talaga, e!”
She then shared an interesting incident when they went to the United States. “Noong nagpunta nga kami ng States, hindi nga nila alam yung show ko, e!
“Tapos noong binanggit ko yung Probinsyano, nagsigawan sila! Mga bastos din itong mga ‘to, e!”
Regine then added that she’s happy for Coco and the success of his long-running action series and compared his popularity to Lito Lapid‘s level during his time.
“Pero I’m so happy for Coco, even though he doesn’t know me personally.
“You can see how hardworking he is as a person, as an artist. And I know, I’ve been hearing things about him that they love working with him because he’s a good… he directs, tapos magaling siyang katrabaho so hahangaan mo talaga.”
“Alam mo ba, natutuwa ako na ginagawa ng Probinsyano, yung binabalik nila yung mga dating action stars, malaking bagay yun. Kasi yung mga millennials, nakikita nila like si Lito Lapid.
“E, noong araw, sikat na sikat yun. Superstar yun noong araw. Tapos parang siguro kasi dream niya rin to work with them, I don’t know. Talagang sinasama niya nakakatuwa.”
