Veteran talent manager Lolit Solis posted about her involvement in the 1994 Manila Film Fest scam, where she said that it was both a nightmare and the biggest lesson of her life.
It can be remembered that she manipulated the results for Best Actor and Best Actress on the awards night held on June 22, 1994. She put the results in favor of her talents Gabby Concepcion and Ruffa Gutierrez, as opposed to Edu Manzano and Aiko Melendez, respectively.
On her Instagram post on November 12, she reflected about her wrongdoing and reminisced about the time that she used to caster in every awards night.
For so many years sa akin ipinagkatiwala iyon trabahong iyon, hanggang nagawa ko isang malaking pagkakamali sa buhay ko, iyon SCAM.
Enjoy ako na kasama sa preparations, enjoy ako sa blow out after the awarding night.
“It was a nightmare for me, the biggest lesson in my life. Pero sabi nga for every stumble, you stand up taller, stronger. I learned my lessons hard, and thank you sa lahat ng umalalay sa akin sa darkest days of my life. Nostalgia talaga, flashback.
Lolit admitted that she felt important at that time because she was one of the busiest, but that only lasted until she did the fiasco.
She said that because of what happened, she lost her job as a caster and refrained from going to award ceremonies to avoid any more controversies.
For life pagsisisihan ko ang nagawa ko at never kong forget that night.
I am guilty, ako talaga ang gumawa ng scam gusto ko lang malaman n’yo rin ang mga bagay na totong nangyari. one day I will tell that, one day i will confess. forgive me for the scam i commited forgive me…”
This is the second time she posted a reflection regarding her mistake. Last year, she also posted on Instagram, saying how guilty she is of doing it. She also asked for forgiveness.
