Netizens react to Liza Soberano playing “the victim,” accusing Ogie Diaz of ruining her name

Liza is perplexed as to why these matters have become a topic of concern as they parted ways in a friendly manner.

Former Star Magic star, Liza Soberano has provided more information in the ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ segment.

She clarified rumors that Ogie Diaz had not received any “commission” from her during the two years they worked together.

“It’s not right; that’s incorrect,” a teary-eyed Liza said.

Soberano furthered, “It actually hurts me that he’s making up those lies about me. I feel like he’s trying to make it seem like I wasn’t profitable in the past two years when we were working together when he knows the truth. He knows my pains, he knows the things that I felt, the things that were mishandled so it’s kind of unfair — I feel like he’s trying to tarnish my name.”

She disclosed that her former manager, Ogie Diaz received money from her just last month.

“Literally last month, we gave him a paycheck for an endorsement that was renewed before our contract ended,” she continued.

When questioned if it was the final payment, she stated, “He’s going to get another one this week.”

The actress is perplexed as to why these matters have become a topic of concern as they parted ways in a friendly manner.

Soberano expressed, “Natapos naman po ‘yung kontrata namin nang tama, nang maayos, nang hindi po kami magkaaway, super nagkakaintindihan po kami. Why is he trying to say things to make people turn against me?”

Netizens pointed out that Diaz never said anything terrible about Liza or her departure.

In Diaz’s latest video, he touched on the Liza issue without bashing her.

Her remarks on Diaz didn’t stop there.

Liza mentioned that Diaz provided his backing when she informed him of her intention to move to a different management team.

Soberano shared, “Nung una natakot po ako sabihin sa kaniya [na hindi na ako magre-renew], but his response was very supportive and understanding.”

“So ngayon, nagtatampo po ako sa kaniya because he is saying so many things that are untrue. Why is he trying to say things to make people turn against me?”, she added.

When asked by Abunda if she had ever contacted Diaz directly, the actress responded that she did not feel it necessary to speak to her former manager privately. This is because he was already publicly airing his views about her on YouTube vlogs.

She stated that the situation could have been improved if Ogie had communicated with her privately first. “He should’ve talked to me kasi para namang wala kami pinagsamahan. Parang hindi niya ako anak kahit anak ‘yung tawag niya sa ‘kin because he’s treating me like everyone else in the industry,” Soberano concluded.
