It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda has gone viral for poking fun at social media personality Otlum’s video of him stealing a cellphone on November 1.
Otlum was recently apprehended by barangay authorities after CCTV footage showed him snatching a phone from a counter inside a store in Manila.
During the Girl on Fire segment, the comedian-host made a parody of how Otlum defended himself after being arrested.

Without Otlum’s name being mentioned, the audience knew who Vice was emulating.
“Malinis po ang inyong intensiyon,” Vice said.
“Kaya nga, at ang konsensiya ko is clear,” banat ni Vice Ganda na ikinapalakpak naman ng madlang pipol.
“Natatawa ako… kasi very Miss Q&A lang ang atake kasi ni Ate.
“Naaliw lang ako.” he said.
In his defense, Otlum said he took the phone and sold it but he doesn’t see it as theft.
“Ang depinisyon ng magnanakaw ay papasok sa isang establisyimiento at walang abog-abog ay magbubuklat at kukuha ng mga bagay na nasa pribadong lugar. Pero ang nangyari po sa akin, ako po ay nasa labas ng tindahan, hindi po ako pumasok. Nakita ko lamang ang cellphone na ito sa ibabaw ng pasimano at ito po ay aking kinuha. Hindi po masama ang aking ginawa dahil ang akin pong konsensya ay clear,” he said.
Otlum noted that he doesn’t have a bad record and has no history of stealing.
On his Facebook page, Otlum announced an upcoming collaboration with Vice.
The owner of the phone, Joey Esquivel, said he left his phone on the counter because his store was full of customers. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, they found that Otlum was the perpetrator.
Otlum denied stealing the phone despite being caught in the act.
“Ang tapang niya, hindi daw niya ninakaw, kinuha niya lang daw,” said Esquivel. “Mas galit pa siya kaysa sa amin.” he added.
Esquivel has yet to push legal actions against the gay thief.
