Moira dela Torre did not receive P5 million to perform at Pink rally in Zamboanga City

Her fans didn’t waste any time defending her from the trolls

Moira dela Torre denied the claim that she received a sum of P5 million to perform at the rally of Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan in Zamboanga City.

The rumor circulated quickly throughout social media after reports said that an impressive turnout was expected.

Hindi po mami bayad. Nag-volunteer lang din po kami.” the singer responded to the allegation.

Even Manila Bulletin pounced on the story, leading supporters of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos to believe that it was true.

Di po yan maganda, Manila Bulletin,” she said.

God bless po,” she added.

The claim was unverified.

Most of Manila Bulletin’s articles are seen as “biased” for Marcos.

This isn’t the first time celebrities who support the Robredo-Pangilinan movement have been accused of being paid off.

Comedian Ogie Diaz clarified that not all celebrities seek financial rewards, others are just dedicated to the movement.

Recent Pink rallies have overwhelmed even the opposition. While more shift their support for Robredo, Marcos’ popularity among voters from various groups dwindle.
