Touching video of a sister finding her missing brother goes viral

In an almost 30-second footage, a crying woman can be seen hugging a man along a sidewalk.

A touching video of a sister finding her lost brother recently went viral on social media.

The video was uploaded by a certain Ric Oliver on his Facebook on January 21.

In the almost 30-second-long footage, a crying woman can be seen hugging a man on a sidewalk.

According to Ric, it happened on January 20 at around 8 p.m. in Pateros.

He said he and his friends were sitting beside the sidewalk, when a man in dirty clothes sat beside them and quietly stared off into the distance.

After a couple of hours, Ric said a woman suddenly walked in front of them and saw the man.

He said the woman approached the man and suddenly hugged him, while crying.

“Nilapitan nung babae si kuya, niyakap at sabay sabing, ‘Kuya naaalala mo pa ba ako?’ Umiiyak si ate at panay ang yakap niya sa lalaki,” Ric wrote as a caption to his video.

“Narinig ko my kausap si ate sa cp, sabi niya habang umiiyak, ‘Nay, nakita ko na po si kuya, hindi na po ako papasok, i-uuwi ko na siya dyan,’ umiiyak na rin iyong lalaki,” he added.

Ric said the man went missing five years ago and he was last seen in Batangas.

Ric said he shared the video to inspire others not to lose hope in finding their missing loved ones.

“Kaya ko po sana isine-share ang munting video na nakuha ko po sa kanila ay para magsilbing inspirasyon po sana sa iba, kung sakali po na mayroon po sila minamahal sa buhay na nawalay po sa knila, ‘wag po sana tayong mawalan ng pag-asa at tiwala sa Panginoon na balang araw ay makakasama po natin sila ulit,” he said in his caption.

Netizens were quick to express their delight over the siblings’ reunion.

Here are some of their comments:

“Praise God at natagpuan niya ang kapatid niya. God bless you.”

“Salamat sayo Panginoon… Habang buhay my pag-asa huh.”

“Thank God. Pinagtagpo sila.”

“Nakakaiyak. 😭 Buti nagkita na sila. ❤️”

“Thank you Lord at nagkita na po silang magkapatid.”
