It has been going around that the Kapuso network is planning to release their own Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) device sometime next year.
The DTT is currently under “final testing” and they are targeting a first quarter of 2019 release.
As details are still confidential, it is said that it will be mobile friendly and will offer other exclusive channels.
Another addition to the device is high definition content for all their viewers.
The network has been planning to release a DTT device since 2016 and GMA New Media, Inc. (NMI) has presented a prototype during the IMMAP Digicon on October 2016.
GMA Network’s main competitor, ABS-CBN, released their own version of the DTT device under the TV+ brand in 2011 in provincial areas. They have released the ABS-CBN TVplus brand four years later.
