Antonio Trillanes IV files libel charges against Harry Roque, SMNI Hosts, and Pro-Duterte Vloggers

This move by Trillanes aims to counteract what he describes as continuous defamation and misinformation campaigns against him.

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has filed libel and cyber libel complaints against Atty. Harry Roque, several SMNI hosts, the vlogger known as “Banat By,” and a number of “pro-Duterte vloggers and trolls.”

Trillanes announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account that he submitted the complaints to the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday, May 14.

He listed several troll accounts included in his complaint, such as Mr. Realtalker or Lods Chinito (TikTok handles @chinitorealtalker and @chinitotisoy01), Melagin Nastor Evangelista or CATASTROPHE (X handle @gurlbehindthisb), JoeLas (X handle @j_laspinas), Michael Gorre or KampilaBoy (X handle @KampilanBoy), Hampaslupang Mandaragat (X handle @JohnAmasa2), and @SaraAll2028.

In an interview at the QC Prosecutor’s Office, Trillanes explained his decision to file the charges, citing the ongoing spread of false information against him.

Kaya ngayon natin naisipang i-file ito,” Trillanes said.

He specifically addressed an accusation that has persisted: “Ang paratang ng karamihan ay binenta ko raw ang scarborough.
