American Producer Benny Blanco faces backlash for criticizing Filipino fast food chain

The video quickly drew ire from Filipino netizens, who defended the fast food chain and condemned Blanco for his disrespectful comments.

American record producer Benny Blanco has sparked controversy after a TikTok video of him criticizing a popular Filipino fast food chain went viral, drawing sharp criticism from netizens.

In the video, Blanco expressed astonishment that it was his first time trying the food from the renowned fast food establishment in the Philippines, despite claiming to have grown up eating a lot of Filipino cuisine due to his stepmother’s Filipino heritage.

Blanco’s critique began with the adobo rice, which he described as dry and unappealing. He then sampled the chicken, suggesting that the gravy was the only redeeming factor, but ultimately criticizing the chicken for being soggy.

His assessment of the Filipino-style spaghetti was equally scathing, as he likened its smell to vomit and expressed disgust after tasting it. Blanco also disparaged the fries, labeling them as limp and unappetizing.
