OPM artist and actress Rachel Alejandro remains unfazed by comparisons to former Vice President Leni Robredo, despite frequent comments from netizens pointing out their striking resemblance in photos shared on social media.

The latest incident occurred when Rachel posted a beach photo on Instagram, sparking renewed comparisons to the former Vice President. This phenomenon is not new for the singer-actress, as a previous swimsuit photo of hers also went viral for the same reason.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Rachel expressed her amusement at the situation and appreciated how Filipinos find humor in everything. She also shared her admiration and respect for VP Leni, describing her as pretty and stating that being compared to her is indeed a compliment.

“Reaction ko lang is, wala. Ha-hahaha! Netizens, nakakatawa kayo. I just love it that you know, we Filipinos find the funny in everything, anything and everything,” Rachel shared.

Rachel finds it amusing that she is often compared to VP Leni, particularly when she posts swimsuit photos. However, she does not let it bother her and even considers it a compliment.

“How do I feel being compared to (former) VP Leni? I admire her, I respect her, I think she’s very pretty, so it’s definitely a compliment para sa akin, para sabihin na kahawig ko siya, I think ‘yung mata eh, ‘di ba? Ha-hahaha! Yung ano, big eyes,” she added.

Furthermore, Rachel mentioned that she would be open to portraying Leni Robredo in a biopic if the opportunity arose, showing her willingness to embrace the comparison.

Despite the frequent comparisons, Rachel Alejandro remains unaffected and takes it all in stride, maintaining her sense of humor and appreciation for the Filipino penchant for finding humor in every situation.
