Netizens lecture Sen. Robin Padilla on algorithms after his call to monitor social media over random adult videos!

During the hearing, the actor-politician recalled how his wife, Mariel Rodriguez, borrowed his phone when porn suddenly appeared on her phone screen.

Senator Robinhood Padilla stated yesterday, February 25, during a Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media hearing that the content on TikTok, Facebook, and other social media platforms can destroy the minds of the youth.

Padilla is worried because, according to him, today’s youth has developed an addiction to social media.

During the hearing, the actor-politician recalled how his wife, Mariel Rodriguez, borrowed his phone when porn suddenly appeared on her phone screen.

Biglang lumalabas lang,” Padilla said.

The senator is one of the most controversial lawmakers since he mentioned that he’s ready to resign if Cha-Cha (Charter Change) measures get set aside.

Netizens understood Padilla’s concern but explained that content on social media depends on what the user searches about and the algorithm.

An algorithm is a process or set of rules followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, particularly by a computer.
