Kakampinks excited after Atty. Leni Robredo announces Bayanihan e-Konsulta revival

Robredo said the revival will require medical and non-medical volunteers

Former vice president Leni Robredo announced on Wednesday that the Angat Buhay Foundation will bring back Bayanihan e-Konsulta.

Bayanihan e-Konsulta was the telemedicine program Robredo’s office created under the Duterte administration.

Robredo said the revival would require medical and non-medical volunteers.

“Bilang paghahanda, mangangailangan ang programa ng 50 non-medical volunteers at 40 medical volunteers (na maaaring madagdagan sa susunod na mga araw depende sa bilang ng request) para sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng ating operasyon,” she wrote on Facebook.

Shortly after the announcement, over 1,100 volunteers signed up to contribute.

“Thank you,” she said. “The spirit of volunteerism is alive and well.” Robredo tweeted.

She said the foundation would remain remote and reminded applicants to have their own devices and internet connection.

Bayanihan E-Konsulta was established in April 2021 and closed recently on June 1 of this year. Over 58,000 patients benefited from the foundation.

The foundation’s come back more than made supporters of Robredo excited.

Unfortunately, critics still found a way to attack the foundation and Robredo.
