Bongbong Marcos doesn’t care about Marawi City rehab

During the martial law era, Muslims were slaughtered

Malacañang aspirant Bongbong Marcos seems to not be updated on where the government is at with the rehabilitation of Marawi City.

Before heading to the inauguration of the UniTeam headquarters in Valencia City in Bukidnon, Marcos visited Marawi in Lanao del Sur. Vice President Leni Robredo won both provinces in 2016.

When asked what he’d do differently to see more progress, Marcos said rehabilitation shouldn’t be a priority.

“Ginagawa na ‘yun… Tinatapos na ni Pangulong Duterte,” he said.

Authorities admitted that even the rehabilitation program will not be completed by the time Duterte leaves office.

In February, Housing Secretary and Task Force Bangon Marawi head, Eduardo del Rosario estimated a “90 to 95 percent” completion.

Marcos Jr’s critics don’t get why someone like him, who lacks knowledge on major issues, still manages to be ahead in the presidential surveys.

Marawi has been suffering the effects of the crisis since 2017 yet Marcos seems to know nothing about it.
