Did Paul Soriano confirm Bongbong Marcos’s lie to skip COMELEC hearings?

The clapperboard said the shooting took place on January 8. It was just a day after Marcos’s refused to join the preliminary conference.

Filmmaker Paul Soriano caught a lot of attention after seemingly proving that presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos wasn’t [really] unwell when he skipped the COMELEC hearings on his disqualification cases.

Marcos caused a delay in the January 7 hearings and ultimately did not appear. His counsel, Atty. Hanna Barcena then said that the former senator was “not feeling well” and couldn’t join virtually.

Campaign spokesperson Vic Rodriguez told reporters that Marcos “was initially exposed to his chief security, who got confined in one of the isolation/quarantine facility since last Tuesday.”

The Marcos camp produced a medical certificate that looked quite fishy.

It stated that Marcos was suffering from a sore throat and fever. However, Soriano shared photos of him with Marcos and vice-presidential bet Sara Duterte-Carpio shooting for a campaign ad.

Netizens once again called the dictator’s son a liar and also went after Soriano.

Before January 7, Marcos was even doing radio interviews.

He has lied on various occasions and this is just one of them.

Soriano posted an explanation on twitter following the backlash.

Soriano is the husband of actress and host Toni Gonzaga. He is the director of films: Siargao, First Love, and A Journey Home.
