What started like an episode full of laughter became solemn as It’s Showtime‘s Reina ng Tahanan Reinanay Manilyn Malupa expressed her thankfulness after the show gave her a chance to shine.
She also said that she prayed for ABS-CBN to return when it got removed from the television last year.
During her portion, Manilyn shared that ever since she was young, she has dreamed of joining television shows and even joked about how she lacked beauty.
But everyone will always have a chance to reach their dreams. The contestant added that she never expected to be given the opportunity by the time that she became a mother and a garbage collector.

The 37-year-old single mother of three children was once a garbage collector before becoming a house helper. She then lost that job due to the pandemic and has been trying to earn money for her family by selling paintings in Antipolo City.
Touched by her story, viewers started to donate to her mobile wallet account, and by the end of the segment, it has reached its limit due to donations.
Host Vice Ganda also pledged to give the mother a generous amount of her products to sell them for extra income.
Malupa added how she felt when ABS-CBN was forced to shut down and prayed for its return.
Thank you. Maraming salamat.”
Vice answered by telling her that they will never stop doing what they do.
“Hindi tayo hihintong lahat, Manilyn. Ikaw, kayo, at kami, hindi tayo hihintong lahat. Andito tayo para sa isa’t isa.”
Malupa ended up as the segment’s daily winner and was named the Reina ng Tahanan.
