Why Heart Evangelista considers this Kapamilya series her worst starring role?

“Hiram Na Mukha” was Heart Evangelista’s “worst” role in her acting career

Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista revealed that her role in ABS-CBN’s Hiram Na Mukha was probably the worst in her career.

She uploaded a video, REACTING TO OLD VIDEOS OF MYSELF ON THE NET, on her YouTube channel in which she reminisced various of her acting roles.

The 35-year old told her viewers that shooting for Hiram Na Mukha was just so challenging.

She described it as one of her “worst telenovelas ever.”

“I couldn’t breathe under that mask,” she said.

Evangelista played the character of Carissa De Leon, a woman with monkey-like features who was despised by everyone because of her physical appearance.

She had to wear a mask that covered her nostrils which made it hard for her to breathe.

“I had to breathe through my mouth,” she said.

The mask covered her entire face and “there was no way to breathe.”

She questioned her decision of taking the role but remembered she was trying to become independent of her parents.

“Wala akong choice kung hindi gawin siya,” she said.

In an interview in 2007, Evangelista said she refused any kissing scenes during filming.

“Jino-joke nga nila ‘Sige na, kiss na!’ Eh hindi mo naman lips yan, e [because of the prosthetics]. Sabi ko ‘ayoko!’ I understand, if you saw me at Panday, todo bigay ako sa kissing scenes ko dun. If you would think about it, why would you back out of a kissing scene now that you’ve done it before, but the thing is that I’ve made some mistakes and I would like to correct it,” she said.

Her YouTube channel also has a mini-series she class “Lockdown diaries” where she shares with her fans activities she participates in amid the pandemic.
