Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles couldn’t help but weep on the air on behalf of the frontliners when he appeared as a guest on Willie Revillame’s online show titled “Tutok To Win sa Wowowin.”
A video for frontliners was shown on the screen and Nograles was seen wiping his tears. It included health workers and law enforcers maintaining distance from their families to prevent the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from possibly spreading.
“‘Yan po yung hinaharap ng mga frontliners natin araw araw. Yan po yung hinaharap nila. Mahirap talaga. Lahat naman tayo may pinagdadaanan. Ginagawa natin ang lahat,” Nograles said.
He added that the felt sad for the policemen who are often considered as an enemy when they are only doing their job.
“Nahihiya ako doon sa mga pulis. Naaawa talaga ako. Lahat pinagdadaanan tapos, hirap na nga ng buhay hirap na nga ng trabaho, tapos ginagawa pang kalaban.”
On his Twitter account, Nograles apologized for not being able to hold his emotions during the interview.
