In a recent interview with Vice Ganda in Gandang Gabi Vice, actor Jake Cuenca revealed the reason why he released the sexy photos that shook the internet.

He stated that he has been looking forward to collaborating with the photographer, who happens to be Andrei Suleik, so when the opportunity came, he immediately grabbed the chance.

And since Los Bastardos, his current teleserye, started airing, it would be a good promotional tactic for himself.

“Nagkataon na matagal ko nang gustong mag-shoot kasama ‘yung photographer niyan, si Andrei Suleik, so nagkataon na eere na rin ‘yung ‘Los Bastardos,’ magandang mag-promote ng sarili.”

It has also been rumored that the photos are for a personal book. According to a report by balita.net.ph, his manager Neil de Guia said that the actor just wanted to see that at his 30s, he can still be sexy.

“It’s his personal book lang. Gusto lang niya makita na at 30s kaya pa niya magpa-sexy at makipagsabayan sa mga batang aktor.”

And when asked about the number of copies he would print, de Guia answered, “Isa lang. Ha, ha, ha!”
