VIRAL: Rude teen verbally abuses police officer

A 19-year-old man identified as Thomas Jason Cooley is in a middle of the social media controversy after a video showing him cursing and disrespecting a police officer went viral.

In a viral video shared by Clark Development Corporation (CDC) security officer Jake Batan on the Facebook page TopGear Philippines, an outraged Cooley can be seen verbally abusing CDC police officer Roberto I. Lagman Jr.

A report by Headline Gitnang Luzon revealed the details of the incident.

Cooley was allegedly seen drifting his KIA silver vehicle with plate number PKO-199 at a tennis court parking lot near the parade grounds inside the Clark Freeport Zone at 2 a.m. on October 11.

Security Guard Zaldy Cortez advised Cooley to refrain from drifting his vehicle inside the parking lot. This apparently angered Cooley.

This prompted Cortez to seek assistance from the Tactical Operation Center (TOC) at around 2:40 a.m.

Sector Commander Edgar Sebastian and SG Phillip Caligagan arrived at the area to talk the furious teenager. The apprehending officers asked for Cooley to surrender his license to no avail.

At around 3 a.m., Lagman, Team Leader Leovy A. Barrion, and Traffic Enforcer Edmund Conagand arrived at the scene to handle the matter.

Lagman politely explained R.A 4136 Traffic Code Rules and Regulation to Cooley and informed him that the driver’s license is a property of the Philippine Government.

In the video, Cooley, who reportedly reeked of alcohol, mentioned the f-word countless times and even attempted to bribe the officers.

F*ck this f*ckin Filipinos, man!” he said at the end of the video.

The viral video with the caption “From Clark Development Corporation Security officer Jake Batan: First time we encountered a boastful and very arrogant violator” amassed almost 20,000 shares as of this writing.
