Sports reporter and content creator Apple David appears unfazed by the controversy surrounding her relationship with young basketball player Chad Gammad after sharing their first official couple post on social media.
On June 15, David uploaded a TikTok video compilation featuring several moments with Gammad, including dinner dates, gym sessions, basketball-related activities, and other personal moments together. The video also showed the couple exchanging hugs and kisses.
The post was set to the song ‘Those Eyes’ by New West, with portions of the lyrics appearing onscreen as clips of their relationship played throughout the video.
The upload marked the first time David publicly shared a romantic video featuring Gammad since confirming their relationship last month.
Notably, the comments section of the TikTok post was disabled. Despite this, the video quickly circulated across other social media platforms, where discussions about the couple continued.

David and Gammad’s relationship has drawn significant attention because of their 15-year age gap.
The sports reporter is 33 years old, while Gammad turned 18 in October 2025.
Following the circulation of the TikTok video, some netizens continued to criticize the relationship, with screenshots and reposts generating discussions on X and other platforms.
One viral post questioned David’s decision to publicly share content featuring Gammad despite the ongoing backlash.
Others, however, defended the couple and argued that both individuals are legally adults capable of making their own decisions.
“Guys why do you judge? That’s their life. Unbothered nga ang family ng guy so why mas affected pa kayo? Whatever it is, dapat di kayo nangengealam ng buhay ng iba. Unahin niyo mga problema at buhay niyo,” one supporter wrote.
Another netizen commented, “Na para bang ang tawagan ay mhie at nak.”
Last month, David officially confirmed that she and Gammad are in a relationship, describing it as a “risky relationship” because of the public scrutiny surrounding their age difference.
At the time, she acknowledged the concerns raised by some members of the public while asking for understanding and respect.
“I know it’s a very risky relationship because of the age gap, but it’s a risk we are both taking and I hope people can be kind enough to allow us to do that in peace,” she said.
David also apologized to those who felt offended by their relationship, while emphasizing that both she and Gammad are adults who understand the choices they are making.
Aside from the couple video, David also posted another TikTok expressing gratitude for finding someone who reciprocates her feelings.
The content featured the phrase “POV: You’re reminded that the person you love loves you back.”
“Buti nalang nag-click,” she wrote.
Prior to confirming the relationship, David addressed the criticism through a livestream, where she argued that the controversy was causing more stress to critics than to the couple themselves.
“I guess kahit anong ingay gawin niyo, kahit paabutin niyo pa sa kabilang universe ‘tong issue. Kahit ano pang bashing ang sabihin niyo, saan kayo aabutin niyan? Kayo lang yung nastestress,” she said at the time.
