Jessy Mendiola says she’s not a superstar, admits to being a washed-up actress

Jessy is just “thankful” to still be in the show business

Jessy Mendiola doesn’t even get mad when people tell her she’s been “laos” for quite some time now because she completely agrees with the opinion.

In her vlog, she decided to address the harder questions from netizens.

One of her followers asked what she feels every time she is called washed up.

She replied saying her status has never reached that of a “superstar” and she was never that famous, to begin with.

Hindi ko naman din nakikita ko ‘yung sarili ko as super sikat, ‘yung superstar or whatever,

I don’t feel hurt or anything. In a way, medyo totoo naman din na hindi na rin talaga ako super active.” she said.

Jessy is just “thankful” to still be in the show business.

Wala rin naman talaga ako magagawa,” Mendiola said, “but I’m just really thankful na kumbaga na sa circulation pa ako ng showbiz.”

She is mainly active on social media, especially on YouTube where she shares her vlogs.

The 28-year old also addressed a comment saying she is considered a “hated” celebrity.

“It’s because most people don’t really get out of their way to get to know me,” Mendiola said in response.

Just like any other celebrity, controversies concerning Mendiola are sometimes one-sided and do not tell the whole story.

She said her vlog the misconceptions surrounding her.

Sinasabi nila na mas nakikilala nila ako through my vlogs,” she added.

Jessy was introduced to the show business in 2004 and starred in the ABS-CBN series “Sabel” and “Maria Mercedes.” The last time she worked on a project full-time was in 2019.

She is married to Luis Manzano.
