Netizens were amused by Susan Enriquez after the ‘Unang Hirit’ host and GMA News anchor posted a witty video reacting to the reported arrest of former Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co.
On her Facebook account, Susan shared a video of herself singing to the tune of the trending song ‘Hawak Mo Ang Beat,’ but with altered lyrics referencing the news.
“Breaking news Hawak na si Zaldy Co,” read the caption of her post.
In the video, she sang: “Hawak na ang thief, hawak na si Zaldy, sa bawat nakaw niya, siya’y ‘di nagi-guilty.
“Hawak na ang thief, huwag nang bibitawan, hangga’t kasabwat ay pangalanan.”
The post quickly gained attention online, with many netizens entertained by her bold and creative take on the issue.
The development follows reports that Co was arrested in Prague on Thursday, April 16.
During her interview with Jonvic Remulla on ‘Unang Hirit’, it was confirmed that Co was apprehended at the airport after allegedly traveling without valid documents.
Authorities in Prague have reportedly taken Co into custody, while the Philippine government is coordinating efforts for his deportation.
Co has been linked to alleged anomalies involving flood control projects under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
This is not the first time Susan Enriquez publicly criticized Co.
In earlier posts, she questioned his claims that he did not receive any money from the controversial projects.
“Kawawa naman pala siya. Walang daw napuntang pera sa kanya????,” she wrote in a previous Facebook post.
She later added, “Ewan ko sa iyo Zaldy Co. Baka gusto mo patayuan ka namin ng bantayog.”
In another post, she stated: “Walang hero sa inyo. Pare pareho kayong magnanakaw. Wala kayong pakialam sa taong bayan na napeperwisyo ng pagkaganid nyo.”
