Fans of Anthony ‘Ka Tunying’ Taberna are expressing their disappointment with the journalist following his recent interview with the controversial former police officer, Wilfredo Gonzales, who gained notoriety on social media due to a confrontation with a cyclist.
Willie Gonzales faced widespread criticism on social media after a video of his altercation with a cyclist on August 8 went viral.
During the one-hour interview, Gonzales had the opportunity to present his side of the story and vehemently maintained that he was not the instigator of the confrontation. He asserted that it was the cyclist who had provoked him.
Despite the interview garnering thousands of views online, numerous netizens voiced their dismay at Taberna for affording Gonzales a platform.

In response, Taberna explained that he was willing to provide a platform for the cyclist as well, but he was unable to reach him. The cyclist had already released a statement indicating that he had no plans to file a complaint against Gonzales to safeguard his peace and privacy.
