Netizens react to Vice Ganda’s open letter after announcement of ‘It’s Showtime’ to be seen on GTV

Despite the uncertainties, he emphasized that amidst everything, what remain constant are the love and the support they receive from the Madlang People.

Vice Ganda has gone viral after sharing a heartwarming message to his ‘It’s Showtime’ colleagues and staff.

On his Instagram page, he shared a message to his fellow hosts and production members whom he considers family throughout their years of working together.

“Haaaaay! Hingang malalim. May kaguluhan at kabilisan ang mga ganap. Ganunpaman, kalma lang,” Vice said.

He reminded them of the program’s theme song.

“Nakakabigla man ang mga nangyayari, sabi nga ng linya ko sa kanta natin, ‘Basta’t kasama Kapamilya, kahit ano pa ‘yan kayang-kaya!’ Sa dami ng mga pinagdaanan natin, kering keri na natin ‘to. Naranasan na natin ang ma-torture mabugbog, ilibing nang buhay. Ngayon pa ba! Tapik na lang to!”

Despite the uncertainties, he emphasized that amidst everything, what remain constant are the love and the support they receive from the Madlang People.

“Ang pagmamahal na yun ang bumuhay sa’tin sa bawat paghihingalong naranasan noon,” Vice said. “Ang puso ng Madlang People ang TOTOONG TAHANAN natin.”

She said they should take on the challenges with no problem.

“Kaya tuloy lang. Patuloy tayong magpasaya at magbigay ng pag-asa. Maniwala ka, ‘Ituloy lang ang sikap, sa dulo’y kikislap!’ Sa oras ng iyong panghihina at pagkalito ay sasamahan kita. Bubuhatin natin ang isa’t isa. Itataguyod kahit anong pagod.

“‘Di kita liwan. Pahirin mo ang iyong luha. Itutuloy natin ang saya. Dito at doon. Damhin mo ang mahigpit kong yakap. Mahal na mahal kita!

“Life is fascinating and makes you grateful. When it takes one thing from you it always replaces it with something else,” he wrote.

Netizens have consequently reacted to his letter.

Vice’s message follows the announcement of ABS-CBN that ‘It’s Showtime’ will be seen on GMA’s free television channel, GTV, beginning July 1.

Chairman Manny Pangilinan of MediaQuest Holdings Inc. had previously stated that TV5 is dedicated to providing the noontime slot to TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon). ABS-CBN politely declined TV5’s offer of later time slot to ‘It’s Showtime.’

“For 14 years, It’s Showtime has brought joy and entertainment to our Madlang People here and abroad. We value the meaningful relationship we have built and nurtured with our audience in the noontime slot. It is for this reason that we have respectfully declined the 4:30 pm timeslot offered by TV5 for the show,” ABS-CBN said.

Vice said something similar about the audience a few months back.

Meanwhile, Felipe L. Gozon, Chairman and CEO of GMA Network, announced that a significant event will take place soon to formalize the inclusion of ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV.

During the ‘Today’s Talk’ segment of ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on Tuesday, Gozon shared a statement regarding the airing of ‘It’s Showtime’ on the channel.

“We are happy to provide a home to ‘It’s Showtime,’ Gozon said.

“We will have a big contract signing event soon,” he added.
