Is Family Mart officially closing? Netizens share photos of “abandoned” branches

Family Mart branches are shutting down. It is believed that owner Dennis Uy’s financial difficulties may be a factor.

A netizen expressed concern after noticing the closure of the Family Mart branch on Chino Roces Avenue. He conducted an investigation to determine the reason behind it.

The netizen’s investigation found that the store was open until midnight before closing, potentially selling off inventory.

Netizens have shared images of other closed Family Mart branches using the trending tag Dennis Uy.

They accuse Uy of poor business practices and blame his financial troubles for the closures.

However, Family Mart has responded, saying “the outlets are undergoing operational improvements, and will soon be reopened.”
