It appears actress Toni Gonzaga has renewed her circle of friends based on a recently uploaded photo.
Gonzaga is currently the most controversial celebrity in the country due to her political affiliations.
She and her family were supporters of President Bongbong Marcos during the national elections. This made people dislike her, especially the supporters of former Vice President Leni Robredo.
Ever since she openly backed Marcos, her projects seem to have failed to hit their targets. Her film ‘My Teacher,’ which also stars Joey de Leon, was considered a “flop” at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Now, ‘Kakampinks’ aim to boycott any brand that Gonzaga endorses.
Her concert ‘I am Toni’ was plagued with accusations that tickets were given out for free in an attempt to fill the arena. People also noticed that the guests she had for the concert did not include any of her friends in the entertainment industry except for her sister Alex Gonzaga.
But it appears that Toni Gonzaga has no problems with that as she can be seen hanging out with “wealthy” individuals in a photo uploaded by Mariel Padilla.

The people in the photo are worth many millions of dollars and Abante Ph took notice.
“Binasura ni Toni Gonzaga ang friendship niya sa mga dating kaibigan sa showbiz, at pinalit na nga niya ang circle of friends na puro mayayaman,” said Abante writer Rey Pumaloy.
Padilla and Gonzaga are seen with Rep. Camille Villar, the daughter of business tycoon Manny Villar, jeweler Erica Concepcion Reyes, and Sen. Mark Villar’s wife, Emmeline.
“Sabi nga, matengga man ng dalawang buwan o masibak ang show ni Toni sa ALLTV dahil sa poor ratings, siguradong hindi maapektuhan ang friendship nito sa mga nabanggit na yayamanin,” Pumaloy added.
Gonzaga’s program ‘Toni’ on ALLTV has been temporarily suspended, along with other major shows such as ‘Wowowin’.
Meanwhile, entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin said that the Gonzaga sisters would take a break from taking on new projects. Fermin said, “Magpapahinga raw po muna sina Alex at Toni Gonzaga.”
