Former vice president Leni Robredo has thanked the fans of Drag Race Philippines contestant Precious Paula Nicole for donating to her Angat Buhay NGO.

In a video uploaded to her Facebook page, Robredo gave the contestant and her kindhearted fans a shoutout for contributing to the NGO’s cause.

Sobrang pasasalamat sa kanyang fans dahil sa contribution na binigay para sa ating mga tinutulungan ng communities. Ang request niya ay mapunta sa livelihood ng mga kababayan. Kaya po lahat ng fans niya na nagcontribute, sobrang salamat from the bottom of our hearts,” Robredo said.

Salamat Precious, salamat sa fans ni Precious. Hindi n’yo alam na because of your contribution ang daming buhay na mababago nito. Kaya maraming maraming salamat,” she added.

On September 26, Nicole took to social media to inform netizens that she and other contestants were willing to assist the victims of Typhoon Karding.

In a separate tweet, Nicole called netizens to connect her to Robredo’s NGO. “I heard that in some part of Nueva Ecjia, two weeks pa bago magkakailaw. They need all the help we can give them,” she wrote.

Angat Buhay executive director Raffy Magno was notified of Nicole’s desire to help and capitalized.

Nicole’s fans lauded her initiative, which prompted some to donate to the NGO.

Various groups have also joined in on carrying out relief operations in affected areas. Typhoon Karding has since regressed from being a Super Typhoon and is headed west.

5 previous winners of Family Feud Philippines have also donated to the NGO-the latest one being rock band Mayonnaise.
