“Walang atrasan!” Doc Willie Ong to continue running despite Isko Moreno flirting with Sara Duterte tandem

In retrospect, Moreno purposely turned his back on political allies such as former mayors Alfredo Lim and Erap Estrada, Lito Atienza, as well as his former political party to further his interests

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has been called a traitor yet again after flirting with the idea of pairing up with vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Moreno recently visited Mindanao to enlighten voters about his policies. During the trip, a campaign poster of him with Duterte was seen hanging on the pickup truck’s door Moreno was standing on, waving to the crowd.

Duterte is the vice-presidential bet of former senator Bongbong Marcos as Ong is to Moreno. People felt bad for Ong but weren’t surprised at the apparent betrayal by Moreno.

According to Rappler, Ong was advised not to attend Moreno’s trip to Maguindanao because the people there support Duterte.

In retrospect, Moreno purposely turned his back on political allies such as former mayors Alfredo Lim and Erap Estrada, Lito Atienza, and his former political party to further his interests.

ABS-CBN’s Kat Domingo previously sat down with Ong, and he admitted to feeling “hurt” when voters promoted the possible Moreno-Duterte tandem.

“Siyempre na-hurt ako. Masakit yun,” Ong told ABS-CBN News.

He copes by remaining focused on his goal to win the vice presidency.

“Hindi ko na iniisip. Parang bahala na yung tao. Wala naman akong kasalanan. I’ll just do it straight,”

“I’ll play it straight kasi yun ang hiningi sa akin ni Yorme so gusto ko ipakita sa inyo, sa lahat ng tao na loyal ako,” he said.

On his Facebook page, Ong then responded to people asking how he felt after the poster of Moreno and Duterte together went viral.

“Focus lang ako sa kailangan kong gawin eh’. Salamat kay Mayor Isko, pinili niya ako. Tuloy-tuloy tayo hanggang May 9. Walang atrasan to.”

“Eye on the ball ako. Kailangan ko manalo kasi kailangan ko maibigay yung tulong sa mahihirap, sa gamutan, pagkain,” he said calmly.
