Iza Calzado won’t be leaving ABS-CBN anytime soon

ABS-CBN did not desert her so it’s only right that she sticks with the network

Iza Calzado is satisfied with where she is at in her career and has no plans on leaving ABS-CBN.

In a media conference involving actors who just finished taping for the latest episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya, Calzado said the reason why she stayed a Kapamilya is because God wants her to.

“Why am I here? Because this is where God put me,” she said.

At 38, Calzado doesn’t see the need to have a “change” in her life.

“At this particular point in my life, I’m not looking for change. I’m not looking to shake things up in my life.

“I am at peace with where I’m at. In terms of growth, I’m getting it not only from the projects that ABS-CBN is giving me but from other facets.”

ABS-CBN did not desert her so it’s only right that she sticks with the network.

“Why am I still a Kapamilya? The past year, seeing how the network has really stood for me. Everything that’s been thrown their way, it made me respect the network and everybody even more.”

Many have left the network already, but Calzado knows ABS-CBN is her home.

“Sometimes you just wanna be there for people especially when times are tough. This is where God put me and my intuition says ‘stay here.’

“This is my reality. I am very proud to still be a Kapamilya,” she said.

The veteran actress appears in MMK‘s latest title Dialysis Machine, a story about various family members who die of chronic kidney disease. The first character that dies is the mother which made Calzado a little emotional when she talked about hers.

MMK can be watched every Saturday at 8:30 PM on the Kapamilya Channel at A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live YouTube channel, ABS-CBN Entertainment Facebook page, and iWantTFC.
