Assunta de Rossi clarifies sister’s joke about offering to be a surrogate mother to her baby

She also listed the reasons why Alessandra can’t actually be a surrogate mother yet.

Actress and celebrity mom Assunta de Rossi clarified that her younger sister Alessandra de Rossi‘s statement about offering to be a surrogate mother to her own niece was just a joke.

In a tweet, Assunta uploaded a screenshot of ABS-CBN’s article and clarified that the younger de Rossi was just kidding. She also pointed out a few things which make it unlikely for Alessandra to even be a surrogate mother.

“While it’s a touching gesture, joke lang po yan, “ Assunta wrote.

She then said that surrogacy is not yet even allowed in the country and there are specific qualifications for a woman to be a surrogate mother.

“Unfair naman kung 1st pregancy mo, hindi pala para sayo,” the actress then joked.

Alessandra then continued on with the playful conversation with a little throwback.

“Ako ka ba? May mas unfair pa ba na unang damit at gamit ko as a baby, sa’yo din?” she replied.

This started when Alessandra joked about her offer to carry her sister’s own baby in her womb.

Wala din naman akong direksyon sa buhay,’” she said during I Feel U.

She added that she’s even willing to do it for free.

So hindi ko alam kung kinonsider ba niya in her head.”

The actress added that she doesn’t even know how to properly explain her feelings when she learned that her older sister was pregnant. But one thing’s for sure: She’s ecstatic about it.

Tapos sabi niya secret daw muna, don’t tell anyone.”

But she did cry when she first saw a photo of Assunta holding her baby Fiore.

Send to all talaga. Doon ako naging emotional.”

They called Fiore a “miracle baby” as Assunta has been married to her husband Jules Ledesma since 2002 and this is their first child together. She had struggled to conceive due to having both myoma and endometriosis.
