Cong. Jesus Crispin Remulla accused ABS-CBN for spreading his video; ABS-CBN employees react

“As usual, the ABS-CBN people are the ones playing it up now on social media. But I will forgive them.”

Cavite 7th District Representative Jesus Crispin Remulla apologized on Wednesday for his video which showed him disrespecting the national anthem.

In the said clip, Remulla was seen writing in his notes while the singing of the Lupang Hinirang was on-going.

This act drew criticisms from ABS-CBN employees and netizens who said that it was a violation of the RA 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.

Remulla apologized for his mistake but not before accusing ABS-CBN of spreading the video clip on social media.

“As usual, the ABS-CBN people are the ones playing it up now on social media. But I will forgive them.” the Congressman said.

“Ang sa akin ho, I wrote the note-hindi ko ho excuse ‘to-because something went into my mind for the questions I will ask tonight.” he added.

[For me, I’m not using this as an excuse, but something went into my mind for the questions I will ask tonight]

This accusation puzzled the ABS-CBN employees knowing that the video clip was aired on all media stations and channels.

Recently, Remulla was also denounced for cutting off ABS-CBN Legal Counsel Atty. Cynthia Del Castillo during a congress hearing.
