Congressman Crispin Remulla was recently caught on video writing down notes as the National Anthem was playing during a hearing on ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.
He apologized for his actions but he blamed ABS-CBN for spreading the video when in fact other news outlets were the ones who spread the video in the first place.
Remulla apologized directly to ABS-CBN CEO Carlo Katigbak for his accusations but did so in a very aggressive manner, interrupting the latter in the middle of his sentence.

Angeli Valenciano, wife and manager of Gry Valenciano, went on Twitter and called the lawmaker out for his recent actions.
Angeli said that Remulla and their parents were the best of friends and she did not like it when he blamed ABS-CBN for his gaffe.
To @BoyingRemulla31 our parents were the best of friends. So this much I will say ~ you accused @ABSCBN because you are being bashed online & said it was part of the communication strategy of the network? Really? Pls watch the hearings again. Netizens have their own minds.

Angeli then emphasized how arrogant Remulla was during the hearings, along with the constant interrupting of others.
You will sow what you reap online. @BoyingRemulla31 Sometimes unfairly people misjudge others which is normal. But most of the time, your character is judged on the basis of whether you were kind, or fair, respectful, considerate, just, compassionate and willing to listen.

Unfortunately @BoyingRemulla31 u clearly have it all figured out. You are not showing any of the above traits that would have drawn you closer to the viewers, many of who love @abscbn Were there violations? Fine them. Discuss these issues that need correction. But be considerate.

Instead gaining fans, Remulla is losing them with his approach.

The consensus, in reference to Remulla’s recent actions, is that he needs to show more respect, an attribute that has been obviously lacking after netizens pointed out how they don’t like how he acts during the hearings.

The Remulla family is basically a household name in Cavite and Angeli herself knows they are ‘special’ that is why she hopes the lawmaker would have a change of heart.

Even with all the negativity Remulla has brought, Angeli and her husband Gary prayed for him.
