Netizen returns Php150,000 accidentally deposited to her bank account

• A Facebook user’s mother discovered Php150,000 suddenly deposited to her bank account.
• Instead of keeping the large amount of money, she immediately reported it to the bank.
• Her son stated that they never thought about keeping the money as they know that it’s not theirs to begin with. 

Carl Abarquez’s mother was supposed to withdraw money from the ATM but was surprised to see that a huge sum of cash was deposited to her account.

She did, in fact, get Php150,000 richer.

She knew that it was not right and that a mistake had been made.

She immediately went to a branch of the bank and reported the incident. Carl explained that they never once thought of pocketing the money because it isn’t theirs to begin with.

“Hindi naman po namin inisip na pag interesan kasi hindi naman po amin,” he stated.

Though the bank was not mentioned, it can be seen in a photo of the receipt that Carl’s mother used an ATM of BDO.

This caused netizens to be alarmed and comment about the system of the bank and how they can improve it to avoid such errors.
