Man uses Snapchat’s gender filter to bait pedophile cop

  • Man pretends to be a 16 year old female
  • While using the gender filter which makes him look like a woman
  • A police officer than messages him about sex; gets arrested

Pedophiles can be anybody. It can be your friend, your cousin, a fireman, a doctor, etc.

You wouldn’t expect a police officer to be a pedophile because their main purpose is to protect and serve citizens, right?

A police officer in San Francisco was arrested because he allegedly talked about sexual interactions with a 20-year-old male college student who pretended to be a 16-year-old female.

Ethan, the college student, said one of the reasons he did this was because he wanted to avenge his female friend who got molested as a child. Ethan wanted to expose pedophiles using an undercover Tinder profile.

He used Snapchat’s gender filter, which made his photos look more like a woman, and pretended to be a 19-year-old girl named Esther.

He made a Tinder account and all the sudden 40-year-old police officer Robert Davies started messaging him.

The conversation started back on May 11.

Ethan then said they would continue chatting on Kik, another dating and messaging app. Ethan then revealed that he was actually 16.

Davies did not mind the age. They then went back to snapchat where they talked about sex and how Ethan was still a minor and was really just 16.

The conversation went on for 12 hours when Ethan thought he had enough evidence to expose Davies.

He then sent the conversation to Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers.

Davies was then arrested on Thursday on charges of contacting a minor to commit a felony.

San Mateo Police Chief Susan Manheimer said, “This alleged conduct, if true, is in no way a reflection of all that we stand for as a Department, and is an affront to the tenets of our department and our profession as a whole. As San Mateo police officers, we have sworn an oath to serve and protect our communities. I can assure you that we remain steadfast to this commitment to serving our community with ‘Professionalism, Integrity, and Excellence.'”

Ethan said, “I was just looking for someone. He just happened to be a cop.”
