A graduating college student jokingly asked for a graduation gift from the bus transport company that he patronized in his four years in college. Unexpectedly, he got a free vacation sponsored by the transport company.

It all started when Horaze Kyle Lozano posted his creative graduation photo on Facebook with all the bus tickets he collected throughout his college years.

Lozano lives in Mariveles, Bataan where he needed to travel by bus every day to his school in Bataan Peninsula State University located in Balanga, Bataan. He collected all the bus tickets from his commutes until he graduated.

During their pre-graduation photoshoot as a give tribute to his journey in college, he brought all the collected tickets to the studio where he planned to use it as part of his creative graduation photo.

He posted the photos on his Facebook account and as a joke, asked for a graduation gift from two bus transits as recognition of his loyalty.

“Baka naman Genesis at Bataan Transit. Graduation Gift! One week na libreng sakay naman diyan o kaya Baguio,” he said.

Many reacted to his photo that went viral on social media and one of them was from Genesis Transport Service, Inc.

Genesis Transport Service did not just give a simple comment but granted his wish and offered him a vacation in Baguio or Baler.

“We’re proud to be part of your journey, Kyle,” the bus company said on Facebook in response to Lozano’s post.
“Dahil diyan, sagot na namin ang roundtrip Joybus ticket mo papuntang Baguio o Baler plus three days and two nights hotel accommodation. Congratulations,” Genesis Transport added.

In an interview with Lozano via Messenger, he said that it all started just for fun. Collecting bus tickets make him feel happy especially when the pile started to grow. When he was in third year college, a senior student tagged him in a creative shot like he did as she knew that Lozano was also fond of collecting bus tickets. He also said to his senior to wait until his time comes because he knows that he would get more than she did.

“Sabi ko pa nga po sa kanya hintayin nyo po ate yung tickets ko mas marami kesa dyan,” he said.

He was very careful in keeping his bus tickets and made sure they weren’t crumpled. Every time the dispatcher would give him the ticket, he immediately kept it inside a notebook. All his friends and classmates were aware that he was collecting his bus tickets.

“From the start pa lang po talaga plano ko na po siyang gamitin sa creative shot ko. Saka alam po ng lahat ng kaklase at kakilala ko na nag iipon po ako ng tickets since day 1 of my college years,” Lozano said.

Now, because of the tickets that he collected, he will be enjoying a free vacation.
