OFW raped by taxi driver after escaping from employers

• An OFW ran away from her cruel employers after six months of working for them in Riyadh.
• Just when she thought that she’s out of danger, a taxi driver sexually harassed her, leading to her hospitalization.

An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Sultan Kudarat experienced an unfortunate incident after her attempt to escape from her employers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The 28-year-old domestic helper, named Tata Glang Bandoc, tried to get away from her employer. But, just as she thought she was safe after she hailed a taxi who was allegedly willing to help her, the driver took advantage of her.

It was said that her employers have treated her so badly that even after only six months of working for them, she ran away.

She thought that everything would be okay once she reached the highway without getting caught, but little did she know that the Pakistani cab driver will be the real threat to her life.

He took advantage of her and sexually abused her. After the deed, he gave her 50 riyals as “payment” but she refused to accept it. When the man noticed that her private part was bleeding, he quickly left the scene.

Fortunately, a group of Filipinos found her and immediately took her to the King Saud Medical City Maternity Hospital where she found out that she needed surgery and blood transfusion as a result of what the cab driver did to her.
