The two immediately experienced backlash after people found Olivar’s dance about Federalism “vulgar”. The video that is posted on her Facebook account showed Olivar chanting “i-pepe” and “i-dede” while gesturing to his crotch and chest.

The Asec was quick to defend herself and posted a statement on her Facebook page. She said that the video was edited and cropped in a negative manner to distract the Netizens from the important details.

She further clarified that the video and their game show has nothing to do with ConCom nor the government’s information drive for federalism.

Uson explained that even if their show is mainly for fun, it has no intentions to undervalue Federalism and their goal is to urge the viewers to talk about the political system since it’s one of President Rodrigo Duterte‘s objectives. She added that people shouldn’t be distracted from the real issues such as cheating on the previous elections, charter change (CHA-CHA), and the war on drugs.

Uson later uploaded a video on her page explaining her side once again. She also stated that she is not the “Ambassadress of Federalism”.
